There's data out there nowdays, it's not 2015 anymore. Anybody dropping a thousand dollars or more on a light should know what they're buying. That's a decent chunk of change.
It's pretty common knowledge that the white LED's outperform the blurples 10 fold. I'd recommend a nice DE HPS before going with some purple blurple shit light. I had a driver go out on one of my QB's last year and Horticulture Lighting Group took care of it at no charge. You think Kind LED is going to do that for you? Those mass manufacturers over in china won't do that for you. But beyond all that, look at the data. The charts that show PPFD.

Yea, unless it was free you got ripped off. You can grow strong cannabis with anything but if you're using epistar diodes you're getting less than CMH efficiency at a higher price.

as I sit here w/ my mouth watering from my last hit of Tahoe OG which only takes one hit to feel a buzz , you can hate on it all ya want but the potency is top notch which is all I care about , If all I cared about was weight then I would have gotten a 1000 hps but I hate to waste all that power, I hated on it when all I had was a 400w cooltube when they first came out & my rich buddy got one but he grew the dankest buds & did side by side w/ 1000w hps & 1000w Kind , the hps produced more but the Kind was way more potent. I’m NO expert on lights but it’s amazing the difference in potency. I went w/ a 750 & I grew Thai Stick & G13 Haze from MSNL & it was so potent we called it Mr. Sleepy cause everyone I smoked it w/ was ready for bed within 5-15 minutes
