Identifying male and female plants

Newbie here. So I’ve checked out pictures on yahoo and google for pictures of both. Just curious what everyone does or looks for or how you can tell other than the obvious. Yes I know male plants have seeds and females have white pistils.

Slight correction. Males don't have seeds - males have little balls. Those balls be the pollen sacks. Females produce seeds when they've been fucked by the yellow dust released from inside those pollen sacks once they pop open.

To sex - after they show a few nodes, you could temporarily flip to 12/12 and after a couple of days, check for any white pistils. If you can see them little white hairs poking out, you've got a female. Congrats!! You can go back to your veg cycle and grow her out.

If you can see those dreaded pollen sacks forming, sadly it's a dude and needs to be culled.

At how many weeks or days in the flower on average were you able to identify the female and male plants?

Within 1 week of flipping to 12/12, the thin hairy white tips of the female flowers should start poking through.

If you are 9 days in, you should be able to see them. I should have also mentioned that they can be difficult to spot with the naked eye so it's best to use a good magnifying glass or jewelers loup when you have a peek. Something with a minimum of 20 times magnification.

Once I saw the one that I thought was male and then you confirmed that it was a male gave me a better perspective on what male plants look like and was able to pull another one that looked just like it. So new to this and don’t want to screw up. Started with seven plants not knowing what the seeds were, so far 11 full days into flower, 2 are male the other five seem to be female
