thats a nice light....its a true 300watts so you should have plenty

Flushing dirt absolutely leaches salts away. That pic was taken when I did the flush and plant was harvested a few weeks later. Yeah its not like fushing perlite or hydroton but you can definitely do a reset on your soil with water. Its best to use warm rain water to disolve and rinse out salts. We can agree to disagree on that one. I actually have a farm and nursery business. One of the main problems with water soluable fertilizers is they leach out so quickly. Thats why they are best to use in small quantity often. And its good to rinse potted plants out as they develop salt deposits on the bottom of the pot. This isnt a huge problem for cannabis since it has such a short lifecycle.

Anyway, for sure you need potting mix with perlite in it and need to let it dry out. Thats a given. They have potting mix at home depot or walmart etc. Its best to get the kind with no fertilizer if you are going to be using even more fertilizers on it right away.

Heres a pic of my plant I just harvested a few weeks ago. Its in plain potting soil in a 15gal pot. I only fertilized a bit when making the soil. And then a couple teaspoons of bloom fertilizer in flower. I never measure the PH of anything or the ppms or measure the soil wetness. All I did was water once a week and use some patience. Then flush it with rainwater a couple weeks prior to harvest. I put almost no effort in to this plant. All you have to do is let it grow itself and you can get amazing weed. View attachment 4316329

the soil was trash before you let it dry out a bit. it was causeing the food that was in there to be locked out of the plant, now its eating again and your soil is work with able again. good job
