How much would smell be a problem here (picture)

So pretty soon I will be getting a license to grow MJ at home, in Mexico!

I want to grow my plants for my own consumption and even with a permit, I want to avoid problems with the landlady and neighbors who might bring unwanted attention to my place. I want to grow them outside on a roof. Now check the following pictures, neighbors will not have visibility to my roof. The only problem would be the smell, how many plants max do you recommend and how much would they smell to represent a problem?

Yes, but lets be realistic, a single plant would sometimes be detectable by a neighbor, but it is not as if the intensity would be constant and would always point out to its location. I'm currently growing a flowering plant in another house, in my balcony overlooking the sea. It is hidden among other plants and there are many apartments, the smell is not full power all the time, and even if neighbors could smell it sometimes, they wouldn't know exactly where it's coming from.

The difference is now a roof and I might want to have more than 1.
