@Thundercat hope your day goes well as well .Thanks for all the help, I’m just trying to grow as best I can. So if you have any last words on nutes you recommend and how to use them I’m all ears lol.

@Hugo Phurst @Thundercat Thanks for all the help, so May babies leave starting to turn purple /yellow 1.1 months into flowering. Is this expected?Sorry, no.
@Thundercat awesome, then my first grow is going well. I do have one question. As I’m sure it’s magnesium or iron deficiency , is this okay at this stage? Seee picGetting some leaves dieing of is very normal as the plant uses the nutrients. It can be accelerated by envionmental factors. As they get into the middle of flower they are using the most nutrients in their life span. Many people ramp the nutes up during that period to make sure the plants have as much food as they want.
I run very similar nutes from start to finish of flower and let the plants eat what they want. I will usually get a few leaves that die off but the plants grow nice frosty nugs so I'm not worried about it.
@Thundercat yeah I figured so am feeding it more mag then the rest.I mean the goal in the end is healthy plants wih no deficiancy. I learned a long time ago not to freak out about them, but I always do try to fix the conditions that are causing the issue. That looks kinda like a mag issue.
I put my answers right next to the questions in the quote . No payment needed, I'm always lad to help. That's why I still hang around here. So I can help new growers learn like others did when I was new. Learning about the plant and it's biology will also help you determine between good info and bad info because there is a lot of nonsense broscience associated with cannabis growing.@Thundercat Awesome . What do you know about ppm for nutrients. How do you mix yours up (size container , ppms) etc?
Ppm is variable depending on what scale your tester is. I honestly dot remember what mine is right now it's been years since I bought it. I usually run between 700-1000 ppm but I've had plants that went up to 1200ish.
If I take a sample of water in fish what ppm amount would you concider too high and time to flush? And what do you use to flush?
I don't flush at harvest. Sometimes during the grow I will give a little flush to rinse my hydroton out with fresh water, but otherwise I've never seen any benefit from flushing. I've tried both and found that actually letting your plants grow to maturity and drying slowly create the best taste and smell. I feed till harvest.
I tell everyone to try their own side by side tests to decide. Based on real science flushing does absolutely nothing for the plant. Flushing is nothing more then broscience.
Also can you top side branches? Is the good to do to get more harvest?
You can top any branches you want. It will make the plant bushier. Whether being bushy gets you more yield depends on your grow environment. Personally I've new growing smaller single cola plants for years. That means I don't spend weeks or months vegging a plant and training it. My plants go into flower small but I usually have between 35-45 plants flowering and another 15-20 clones getting 2ish weeks of veg time.
Sorry lots of questions as I continue to read and master the craft. I’ll have to send you some for all the answered !? Lol thanks
Absolutely . And thanks, I’ll pay it forward as well. I’m well versed in basic sciences so I grasp onto things fast and have the wits to question when something seems redundantI put my answers right next to the questions in the quote . @Thundercat hey man or woman hope your week is starting well . So I just got a basic truncheon blue lab ppm meter. It has a 500 and 700 tds scale.I put my answers right next to the questions in the quote . No payment needed, I'm always lad to help. That's why I still hang around here. use your meter to tell how much to feed them. And do I keep adding bloom nutes until it’s at 1000 ppm?
my point is don't try to hit a random target of 1000ppm, work your way up to it IF the plant can handle it. and you use your meter to do that. you want a slightly dropping ppm every day.@rkymtnman can you give it to me a bit more straight maybe?
At what PPM solution should I want this light to blink on the truncheon 500 tds?
