hello friends, so I am fairly new and I am trying to use a microscope to determine when it’s time to harvest but am having difficulty telling, please help ! Should I start to flush? They are about 8-9 weeks into flowering

Flushing is not necessary. Id give them a cpl more days or so. Maybe just turn the lights off
@Brettman will do. So microscope not needed? Jus Tehran 80% pistols orange?

Not true, plants can sometimes throw out fresh pistils late in flower, its happened to me..I had a plant not stop throwing out fresh white pistils even at harvest day, when drying they turn brown or die and fall off.
Can you take a few more pics closer up? The 1st pics, they look almost done. if this is your 1st grow good job, either way, congrats!

Not close maybe 2 weeks they still have some swelling to do. As for flushing it’s junk science.

Easy to develop a patience deficiency near the end of the road. A point is always reached when, everyday I try to convince myself they are done. That's when the forced waiting period begins. It's hard to remain disciplined, so I have the rule in effect. When I feel like they are done, I make myself step back, and wait.

Ya dude there definitely almost there if not a few off them already done. By a quick glance say no more than a week. Ya post some picks when the lights off in completely darkness with the flash on. You'll get some good snaps that way, just try to do in the first 10min after they shut off or before they flip on.
Also I used to flush but don't anymore. After doing a bunch of research and testing it out myself I no longer flush, I just dial the nutes back in the last 2-3 weeks of bloom. You want to get your nutes to peak feeding my mid bloom then start dialing back. They do need food in those last weeks, it is when they really use up the nutes and swell. I wish I never flushed for a week or 2 at the end to be honest with you. I do flush every once in a while in veg and flower in case of any salt buildup and to check the ppms of the runoff water, if its to high ill flush some more to get runoff ppms to reasonable number. I do this by putting the plants on one of those circular flushing racks the sits on top of a shop vac bucket that collects all the runoff water. Flushing during the grow is beneficial to prevent any lockout especially if you are feeding on the heavy side.

The plant in the first picture is in the harvest window. The other plants need 2-3 weeks. I'm on my phone so I'm not gonna type out a huge explanation, but that's the deal.
Harvesting early is easy, it's very hard to harvest to late. In 13 years of growing and 10+ years on this site I've never seen someone accidentally let their plants over ripen.
