Need help with sunlight sheds caddy

We just got a sunlight sheds caddy and are wondering how do you change the resevoir water? Do you use a pump. We just aren't sure how you do it with the lid full of plants. Please help!

Thanks!:eyesmoke:

You can use a siphon. I have one the attaches to an electric drill. Just stick the hose in the res and drain away. Reverse it to fill it back up.:peace:

Thanks so much for the info. We can only hope that our first grow goes as well as yours!

Where would we find a siphon that attached to a drill? At a hardware store like home depot?

Thanks for all of your help!

I got one for my second grow in the cabinet. At a hardware store. As you will see, there are a few modifications to be made to suit your style and such. I got a new res (rubbermaid bin) and cut only 5 holes in the lid, which made it stronger. I slit on angles each side of the handles to be able to lift it enough to get in there or see. I also glued a plastic container with holes punched out to the bottom to house the pumps. This way the roots stay out and prevents clogs. I also switched to clear nutes to prevent the lines from clogging. I taped along the inside door seams as best as I could for air and light leakage. I had to remove the top shelf to get the light up higher as I ran out of room (top the plants). Over all it is a good cabinet, Did you get the big Cool Cab?:peace:

Thanks again for all of your info. It is greatly appreciated. We actually got the big cool caddy. The rubbermaid one. It comes with a separate cloning chamber. We went with that one because I read your grow journal and thought this way you don't give up the room at the top and there is more room for the plants. You have a separate fully independant rubbermaid container with its own light and fans for your cloning chamber.

Do you have any pictures of your modifications?

Hey Chicheh, I wanted to say thanks again for the siphon info. We went to the hardware store on the weekend and got the one you suggested that attaches to a drill. :eyesmoke:
