It’s hilarious the amount “you should have done this” advice you get on this website. If you knew me you’d know a simple setup wasn’t going to work. Hope you guys enjoy the slow easy route, it’s not for me! Thanks though.
If you read the whole thread I overwatered the first one. The soil roots did not “love to sit in water”It's just like a plant that doesn't get watered. Those roots would have loved to sit in a bucket of water with some bubbles in it. It's almost too late now.
Haha ya I’m begging for help by seeing if the internet has anything productive to offer other than try going a weed in dirt? I assure I wouldn’t be here in that’s what I was trying to doBrand new hydro set up needs HELP! Any suggestions appreciated!
begging for help is even more hilarious.
i'd spend more time getting a basic grasp on soil growing and plant physiology first before you try to tackle hydroponics.Haha ya I’m begging for help by seeing if the internet has anything productive to offer other than try going a weed in dirt? Ya I mean no offense I’m just looking for aeroponic advice and it’s okay to admit you don’t know anything about it. I guess I’m confused as to if I posted this in the wrong forum or what.i'd spend more time getting a basic grasp on soil growing and plant physiology first before you try to tackle hydroponics.
Hey thanks for the info I really appreciate it. And yes I know that plant had little odds, I care none about cropping out that plant though I’m just trying to make sure my system is suitable for growing when I go to stick theee new clones in which I’ve already done. Changed the sprayer manifolds up a bit and they’ve been doing great!Enough of the bickering. I transfer from dirt to hydro quite often. Very unorthodox and takes cohanas the size of the rock of Gibraltar to pull it off properly. Does not mater whether you are in DWC or Aero. The key is "NEW GROWTH" Up Top And bottom. When you cleaned your roots you did notice you destroyed about 70-80% of them right? That's right, gone. So why do you think the plant foliage should survive after that? It does not and will not ever after that kind of change. You must scale back about the same amount of fan leaves. You plant should look like death for the next 2 weeks maybe less maybe more depending on how she bounces back from the destruction with new growth. You definitely should have left the plant in Veg for better results. You are risking herm with the transplant stress and change to flower. Light green new leaves popping up is the key along with new roots. Most those old fan leaves will die, let them go its ok. These plants are resilient and survivors by nature. As long as your setup is providing the right environment she will come back just give it time and be patient. Roots and foliage go hand in hand keep that in mind. If you ever cut roots you better trim the plant.
Also if you decide to achieve better results, After the transition use rooting hormone, to get roots faster to aid new growth, but once again switching to flower you hindered yourself because rooting hormone is not good for flowering plants. You kind of put these plants in a paradox. Either way you need to kick start that plant.
Damn dude you were right that thing is shit ...... the “Eversecu aquarium water chiller”O
OH boy... You didn't really buy one of those shit peltier thermoelectric chillers did you? They don't work for shit... There's 1/10HP for less than $300 that would've lasted you years and worked so much better. Don't skimp on this purchase. This and carbon air filters are two things you can't cheap out on if you want results.
Link me to what you bought and cancel your order bro. That $100 is better off not even spent if it's what I think it is.
Like I said I had already ordered it. Amazon prime had that shit on the way like five minutes later haha. It’s not total junk it just can only drop it a couple degrees. I put a bigger pump in the system too which creates more heat so it’s hard to say exactly how much it’s doing. I’ll going to build a second setup thats almost identical but a little smaller just for vegging plants, I’ll use this tent for flowering them. So I’ll probably get a better cooler for this tent and use this lil guy for the veg tent down the road. You have a recommendation for a well priced cooler? So you actually bought it and tried it?
So you're telling me it actually cools your water down and keeps it steadily at 68*?Like I said I had already ordered it. Amazon prime had that shit on the way like five minutes later haha. No man it’s kind of junk but I think I’m just asking too much of it. I’ll be down in Denver soon and maybe I’ll be lucky enough to find a used one on Craigslist but I might just order one before then. We’ll seeSo you're telling me it actually cools your water down and keeps it steadily at 68*?
For whatever reason chillers have gone up in price. Amazon used to have the white model Active Aqua for like $270 and now its $330.
It's still your best deal though.
But the best way to find one is on used.forsale and find someone around America who will ship you a used one they're selling. They usually want local pickup bit you can usually coax them in to shipping it to you for an extra bit of money.
There's some good deals around there and Craigslist. eBay even sometimes.

Whoa nice find! If it’s still available when I’m down there I’ll snatch it upThis one's a big ol' 1/4HP for $275!!
