I’ve definitely thought about using the plant sex ID kit,but I usually can get copies at around 4-5 weeks from seed...then into flower with the moms to be sexed.its a bit time consuming when you have more than 30 plants,plus I like to get 2-4 copys from each plant just in case some don’t want to take.

That’s usually they way I sex my plants. But with my limited space I find it to be rather cumbersome taking on the extra work and use of my space. If theses kits work like they say. I should know the sex in about 3 weeks from germination. I’ll still top the seedlings so I can then take cuts.......I always take at lest 3. It hurts to much to lose a killer plant coz something didn’t take.


Do you let your cuts root before you put them in the flower room? I’ve heard people say there’s no need to root. The cuts will just start to show their sex regardless, I’ve tried it myself but had Lacklustre results. So now I give the clones at least a week to take in a Dixie cup before I flip to 12/12 to sex.

I don’t put the clones in the flower room,I flower the the mother plant and keep the copys to use as a new mother if it’s a female.

Definitely a member of the full on, bean hoarder club fo sho. I have a half sized "quality street" tin that has to be held closed with an elastic full of pks of seeds I'm yet to get to, and just ordered more. In my defense, they were on reverse auction on the GPS site, and I got two pks for less than $50 US, shipping included. A Kosher Kush mixed with Stardawg and something else that was 18 bucks. Never ordered from them before, but some good reviews from some, we'll see...sometime. I just fire them in the freezer and pull them out a day or so before germing them. Even after 5-10yrs I still get 90 - 100% germ rate with most of the quality seeds I have. Just pop them in pucks and water with aloe, fulvic acid and silica. I never have problems, just nice healthy plants, unless I abuse them.

Guys, a great way to sex plants without having to flower the whole plant is to cover a marked limb tip with a small paper bag after 12 hours of lights on. Remove after lights out. Repeat for 10-14 days and you will see flowers on that limb tip.

Now that method I’m gonna give a try........


After I’ll the response on here, im realizing this in pretty standard behaviour for a passionate grower........to stockpile beans....... my affliction and my collection is pretty mild compared to others. So I figured, if anything I have some catching up to do lol.
So I just ordered another pack.

Grabbed me some Hoodoo (Crossroad Chem X Dominion Skunk),
A Skunk VA and Dominion Seed Company collaboration..

@Sour Wreck did, but the beans were really old. He didn't have great results.

This shit is addictive...on just a personal tip, due to the fact that you can clone ,1 or 2 seeds can go a long way.. then all of a sudden a new strain comes out or you smoked your buddies dream weed ... now u gotta have those seeds.. on and on etc.. then u finally created your on..BEANS EVERYWHERE...

I’ve been just wrapping them up, placing them in the dresser hoping like hell ONE DAY to get those few Precious plants out of all these seed...

I’m hooked but I think I’m going to chill because I’m at an all time high germinating..I don’t need to waste money cause I’m failing at storing the beans...
