Yep that's poppy time. But you can plant in late fall and the seeds will germinate when the snow melts and ground thaws in the early spring.
Other dude was saying they were blooming at the end of August. Maybe different area of the globe. Thanks. My mom's are some of the first flowers of the season to bloom.

While browsing for survivalist gear I ran across what was touted as a super potent poppy, the site claimed that you could grow enough seeds from the first year to sow an acre the second and they had some incredible percentage of morphine. 20? 30? Percent? The strain had no name, just a number. Could be bullshit. But maybe not. Figure it might even be worth growing at those percentages.

i'v bought a few weeks ago, the (double) are growing nice! the (gigantuims) are on their way, i got the seeds a few week after the others, but they coming today


anyone wanna talk poppy ?

They are always fun. I had a friend grow them for me, i dont do bad things at my house any more. She loved the flowers.

And then she, an oncology nurse, got lung cancer and died. Never smoked a day in her life. I drive past her old house and can see a profusion of all sorts of what we had planted, they all self seeded. But thats about it.
