So I haven't grown in like 10 years! I still remember the basics though. Iv'e only done outdoor but just
purchased a 1000w LED, It covers 3.5ftx3.5ft. I have some autoflowering seeds coming in the mail, So let's start from the beginning. Im building my own soil instead of premade. I'm thinking 1 part blood 1 part bone meal 2 parts decent peat based topsoil pearlite and an acid neutrilizer for nutrient absorbtion. I may be way off base but it seems okay to me! Any suggestions on the soil, Or anything in general? Once I get this covered i'll move on to the next part with you guys!

Welcome back to the hobby. Add some mycorrhizae. Also take a look super soil recipes + growing in living soil. The one from subcool is a winner. Don't forget earth worm castings.

If you build your own soil you'll want to let it "cook" for awhile meaning letting it sit at least 30 days before using it. Maybe buy some premade for this grow and mix some up for your next.

Good Luck

Why would I need to cook it if every thing is store bought?
You wanna cook your soil so the microbes have time to to multiply, the microbes break down the nutrients to feed the roots. If you don’t cook it you will find your soil running out of gas.

The amendments you are adding to the soil need some time to break down in the soil to become useful to your plants. Your soil will need to be moist during the cooking (composting) process.

If you want easy as pie, grab a bag of Fox Farms ocean forest or happy frog. Both are fairly cheap. Either will have everything you need for first 30 days of veg perhaps longer. Then add bloom nutes around 30 or so days in. Go easy with the nutes. Many auto flowering plants are not quite as hungry as photos.

Nonsense you can keep plants healthy with just water untill your dry amendments do their thing trust me...Not saying this cook method isn't a great way to give your plants immediate nutrition it's not necessary the amendment will feed your plants shortly after top dressing..

I agree with buying some. Promix BX is a good one, or, this last time, I used Nector For The Gods 4 and really like it.
