Dense nugs

Lower rh is often touted as a technique to increase density however you may find it inconsequential after curing and water content has regulated.
I'd be interested if someone could shed some light.

What are you comparing your last grow to? If its being compared to something you bought it could be as simple as it being packaged and condensed or the use of pgr's by greedy fucks.
Ool krypyo bro yes.. another nice piece of feed back about the packaging and being condensed.. in so saying that, condensing buds will make your bud (plural) look and feel solid but also look squashed and moulded when a dense bud looks and feels dense with with weight.. which I still think dense buds come down to strain, knowledge and patience.. question bro what is use of pgr's??. I also heard you can use pressure sealer bags to condense them, probably use it before they are completely dry but not sure how to do that.

The only thing i have ever noticed is that if you harvest when plants desperate for water buds hold size more when drying and if harvested from a well saturated plants buds shrink from i guess moisture loss.

Small observations none of which add up to much but noted :-)

Plant growth regulators.

I wasn't suggesting that anybody compress their bud. I was saying if the op bought it, it could be packaged and compressed.
Of course it comes down to genetics, good gardening, and experience. The first few replies in the thread covered all that I didn't feel the need to repeat it.

Grow Indica dominate and dense buds wil be there with adequate lighting. Keep temps under mid eighties and you’re good to go.

You want dence buds. Grow with LED. That’s what kingrow1 told me anyway.
What those lights that made PPFD into some fallacie and became so overbearing here whilst failing to outcompete hps and cmh and then loosing a lot of their love in an exspensive toxic market of their own creation....

I could never in my wildest dreams achieve the level of bullshit that leds have and still reach..... You got to rep the growers who knew to steer clear of that snakeoil tsunami :-)

My white or white/red LEDs and COBs have far outproduced HPS at my house for 6 years with less watts. Must have been those cheap hortilux and ushio bulbs. Quality is same or better also and my lights are 3 to 6 years old and the newest COBs and Boards and Strips are somewhat more efficient.

Only HID that excites me much is that 315w cmh. Lots of great reviews/grows but some excellent growers here have switched from these to COBs and Boards.

Pretty hipocritical coming from somone who picked their screen name after a awesome LED brand.

Maybe he just tells people they suck so they don’t use them and out grow him?

At what point do you realise that leds and their over zealous users are endemic to the site?

I've noticed too, it makes logical sense that a plant with less water in it will take less time to dry and lose less as it has less, grapes and raisins, plainly put.

My only concern, as I'm no botanist, is if any drought stresses during harvest release or inhibit certain break downs. I recall things about live stock and stress changing the meat composition, like too much adrenalin or what not. Again I know little about this sort of thing, its easier to assume correct and the plants are well watered on the day. Probably isn't worth all the reading to find out.

I've backed off watering more heavily (with runoff) at about 50 days after reading about keeping less moisture in the roots zone late. Can’t even remember why but I liked it and still do it and I like the used mix better for recycling. I need my used stuff to be mild as I sift it and add some castings, and a little high P guano to plant seeds.

I got three different strains I been playing with and genetics deff make a difference especially once you have being able to control your temps and lighting down...I have a lemon strain and the buds don't get near as dense as my Gorilla glues or my chocolate strain..It could be that the lemon required colder temps to swell more which I couldn't provide due to running two tents in a small area but strains are deff key to finding that trophy cola..Good luck bud happy growing...Check my journal out too man the feedback pushes me to keep working!!
