Whats wrong with her?

She seems to be growing no problem. 10 days old. However she has had some weird coloration on the leaves since day 1. I am in coco and have started her on light nutes this week. I have only watered at 5.9 ph. The runoff is at 6.9 for whatever reason.
Age:10days old.

Medium: Coco pre buffered

Pot:3 gal

Runoff- 7.0

Nutes: GH flora micro, bloom, and cal mag

Light:Viparspectra 300w 24 inches high

Tent:2x2x4

Temp:79

Humidity:40% to 51%

You have to start your feed in coco right off the bat...otherwise there's nothing in it to feed your plant. More importantly your runoff, while I'm not a proponent of checking it, needs to be closer to what you have going in your pot, ie starting pH. Also, remember, not to let your coco dry out...ever...which is why pot size is important. It's better to be in a smaller pot and work your way up, unless you're dealing with an auto. 3 gallon pots will grow some monsters...easily out growing your tent for sure... if you're in coco and managing things correctly. I personally wouldn't be in anything larger than 1/2 to 1 gallon if 4' is all I had to work with, otherwise you're just making things more difficult for yourself in terms of managing your grow. Run enough feed, pH'd to 5.8, through your pots to fully saturate your coco with some run off...this will help set up your coco so it's a bit more uniform in terms of pH going in vs. pH going out. Just my two cents...good luck friend.

Thanks! Its an NL auto flower. I did flush a few gallons of 5.6 through to bring down the runoff ph, but the runoff never changed. It wont budge. Any ideas why it wont change? Im starting to get skeptical of checking coco runoff, its never been surefire for me.

Unfortunately, I can't say why you're not able to affect your runoff pH, but perhaps it's best not to worry with it at this point, although straight coco is relatively inert; it should pick up what you're putting in. There's nothing else in the coco correct? At any rate, I'd just keep an eye on your girl...if she looks happy, you're on the right track. Sorry I can't be of more help.

Don't worry about the runoff pH. Worry about what goes in. That's all that matters. I've been growing in coco for years. I pH to 6.0. Lowering what goes in to chase runoff pH is a waste of time. I've never checked runoff pH in years of growing. It's not accurate. And the big thing now is soil growers checking runoff pH when the correct way to test the pH of soil is with a slurry test. Why the hell did everyone all of a sudden start checking runoff pH? There are too many youtube videos with hacks that don't know what they're talking about. And half the cannabis websites out there are full of crap as well.

That plant is small. You don't need to water everyday until runoff even if you are in coco. Let it develop a root system. If you keep it too wet and flush gallons of water through it it will stay too wet. If you let the coco dry out some the roots will grow faster. As it is it's sitting in saturated coco and it's too small to drink it.

Let the coco dry out some, leave it alone, and watch it grow.

Good luck
