. Has it completed 7 weeks or is it starting the 7th week? Also are you counting from when you flipped the lights or from when it actually began to form flowers. Different plants take different amounts of time to transition from veg into flower. So flowering time actually begins when flowers start to form, not from 12/12 switch. Now it doesn't matter when you count from, but you have to understand the biology of the plant. My C99 plants typically took about 65 days from first flowers.

You DO NOT want to chop early it will decrease quality and yield!
Let the stigma(pistils) finish turning red and actually start to receed back towards the buds. Then the bracts(calyx) will begin to swell internally, and start to look plump. That is when to check the trichomes and decide if the plant looks ripe.
It is VERY easy to harvest too early, it is VERY hard to harvest too late. In 14 years of growing I've never seen someone accidentally over ripen a plant. It would take weeks of ignoring them for that to happen.

i feel like those pics were taken withthe HPS on. if so it is hard to tell color and i would suspect they would look amber regardless unfert hat orange glow. you got pics without the HPS on?
yea you are definitely in the window. i would say you absolutely could harvest that, but it's early in the window. ppl would have preferences and varying opinions but those are cloudy with a decent percent amber. i don't see any super dark ones so it's definitely earlier in the harvest window. if its your first ime running this plant or plants and you plan on running em again i would take notes on when you harvested see how the high is and try a week more next run see which you prefer effect wise

I'm very glad I could help. Not everyone listens, but the ones that do are typically rewarded by their plants. It takes some growers longer to learn these things then others, but once you figure it out, you won't want early cut bud ever again. Those last few weeks hold tons of weight, and ripening time which = better quality, flavor, and yield.
