I honestly rather follow one of his smaller DIY designs for the money than spend it on a Mars. They make OK tents though.

for someone that already grows with a blurple under 200wats would you say its upgrade getting this light at 150wats ??

By the numbers it draws 25% less power. No upgrade is going to be 25% more efficient.. Now if you were going to switch it out for two of them or run one at the same time as your old light, that might be worth it.

My big peeve with cobs is they always talk about the efficiency of the led itself and forget about losses in wiring and the driver. When they report efficiencies of branded lights they include everything.

My 2c is that a light is a light, I don't believe that a 5% more efficient light will produce 5% more bud. When it starts to matter is *only* if you have issues keeping your area cool.

Tags 420 is almost wholly responsible for my switch to white and red/while panels years ago. He made a light with COBs and called it a UFO or something. Tags is very close with Greengenes.

In that photo you are using a sp 250 I can see it in the picture it's not a ts 1000.

I had just moved the plants from under the ts100 to my sp250 and a bigger tent and took the pic 20 minutes after the move.
Showing the OP how much growth was achieved since he started the thread and was on the fence about the ts1000.
Does that explain everything to your satisfaction?

I had mine in a 30 inch x 30 inch tent and it flowered quite well in my opinion.

Ok, brilliant. I have emailed them to see what is the better light as migro reviews day the Mars eco 300 has better par than a hps 600w. I cant see that being cotrect so I have emailed Mars to ask what is the better grow light out the two.i will be ordering in the morning. I just hope I make the correct choice as I'm only growing 1 or 2 plants at a time for my own personal use. Cheers mate

I've grown with the same Mars Hydro Led Lights for 7 grows and results have always been amazing. Dudes saying they're trash have no idea what they're talking about. Yea of course if you drop 1400 on a high-end light you may get better results but as for price compared to performance..Mars Hydro has been spectacular.
