Mix of "indoor" and outdoor

Hey everyone,

I have a couple girls that im growing in a shed outside. I do not have a ventilation system in place so the air is stagnant. I have a little fan to blow air around, but that's it. What i have started doing is setting the plants outside near my garden for about 5 hours a day. I figure this helps them breathe a little better. I will eventually like to leave them outside all day, and then put them in the shed close to when the sun starts fading, since they are on a 20/4 schedule.

Is this ok to do?

"Indoor" light: Viparspectra 600w LED
Grow medium: fox farms coco loco
Water: filtered tap water, 6.0 to 6.3 pH
Temps: Low 60's to mid 80's

I started putting them outside during the day because they will get cooked in the shed during the day. Temps with light on will get to mid 90's.

I do it, never had issues. I do it to acclimatize them to the sun prior to the high hot days of summer!

How hot have you grown? I had to put them back in my shed on my lunch break. It's definitely goi g to hit 90+ in there for the next few hours. I didnt have a choice as my mother in law is coming over before i get home from work.

I tend to keep things cooler, but where I live it is not much of an issue. I'd avoid that dead heat if u can... any chance u can pull air into that room from outside?

Not without the shed looking like a UFO at night lol. It's only going to get hotter here, so i need to figure something out. I may just move to an outdoor grow and only use the shed and light when it is forecasted to rain. It would get sunlight from 9 to 8 right now, so that should be sufficient

Or put a portable ac unit. Helps control humidity as well.. good luck. Add co2 if heat is high, can increase tolerance, but regular 90 temps not the best... especially with dead air...

Use the outdoors and the sunlight. Forget about the rain until they’re mid-flower or later. It is free soft water.

As for the shed. It might be cool and nice now but think of the highest heat and humidity. Low air holes with one good sized vent through the roof will be better than nothing. Passive but effective.

I was thinking it's not but mid springtime right now. Idk where you are at but it's going to get ALOT hotter in midsummer where I am. So it sounds like ventilation and ac is going to have to happen or those girls need to be the outdoorsy type.

Ok, im in KY. We are headed for hot and humid very soon. Outdoors it is. I am just cincerned about overwatering outdoors. This is my first grow, so i am just being over paranoid i guess. They really seem to love the sunshine!

They will tell you when they are thirsty... makes for deep healthy roots if you let them tell you..

I am slowly learning to pick the pots up to tell. Im doing my 1st REAL grow. With something not bought at Walmart and seeds I didn't buy in an eighth lol. Let them get dry and even a bit droopy and feel the pots. Set them down and pick them up again lol. Hell even stick it on a scale and record the weight. Then water good and feel or weigh them again and just start picking them up once a day and you will start to tell what a "light" pot feels like for your grow medium and pot. It's a better way than scheduled waterings. I'm trying to pick up everything i can on this site as there are some smart folks on here.

As an update, things seem to be going well! Ths photo stays outside now, and the auto is mainly outside, but does get some time under my LED. I am hoping this photo plant produces a lot. It's almost time to harvest my stunted auto i think, but im not sure, there are still white pistils.
