Mate, I just almost snorted a whole mouthful of beer all over my keyboard when I read that.
I always have a bit of a chuckle when people jump on the euphemism bandwagon of "Medicine" to justify their use/supply/sale of cannabis (particularly the US "Dispensaries" - another euphemism for "legal dealers"), when the dysphemism "I feel better about everything & forget about being "sick" when I'm whacked off my tits" is a more accurate descriptor of their use (or motivation for sale).
Let's call a spade a spade - the VAST majority of users do so recreationally to get stoned, NOT to relieve a medical condition.
Don't get me wrong - last OD season, I grew 3 plants of low THC/high CBD for a mate's wife with a chronic pain condition in the hope it would help them out of a difficult situation. She doesn't smoke & doesn't like the "head" effects of cannabis, so the proceeds have to be made into an extract she can ingest.
My mate did some research (as did I) into the best way of doing it & independently, we came to the same conclusion: Ingestion of negligible amounts (ie. miniscule ppb of something) is better & less harmful. The pro's outwiegh the con's.
After he discussed it with his wife, it was agreed that (based on my capsule-making experiments last year), direct infusion in coconut oil would be the best option for his wife, even 'though she's Vegan & doesn't like the idea of ingesting capsules made of gelatine.
We're a bit of an anarcho-syndicalist commune.....
