like to see that link.i think u got it backwards! may of 18 they changed it to 3 per person but outdoor growers were allowed 6 per person last yr because of late change I hope iam wrong please show me. also no household limit on weigh so I can have 50lbs sitting in my house an be legal
I sent you a DM with the link. The fact they veto’d that original clause May of 2019. I could be misinterpreting the language. Anyways I’ll keep this a Mass thread :P

BlackThumb yeah Im surprised they haven’t given a # for immature, mature, and seedlings. With Legalization have you seen less poachers and people stealing/ripping people off in Mass?

Honedtly, I haven't heard anything about the boldness or frequency of rippers before vs after legalization. The only growers I talk to are here. Haha. I keep my profile IRL lower than a snakes belly.

There are some other guys in this thread that I recognize from outdoor threads over the last few years and some of them are probably much better connected to their local grow scene. I'd like to hear their take on it because it is an interesting question.

Youd think that since anyone can grow now, there would be less reason to steal.

But then again...scumbags are scumbags. Maybe "everyone growing" means it happens a lot more! More targets to hit for the people who clearly arent interested in growing their own.

Just took a look at the maine.gov site, still 3 per person from what I can see. Nothing about any changes since last year when it dropped from 6 to 3.

Yes finally found it after digging through a bunch of links and downloading a pdf, thanks for the help boys. Black-Thumb we have had issues with stealing and getting ripped off many years ago, but now a days it seems there is 0 small farmers getting targeted. It's now just the big grow ops with known quantity & quality that criminals will target. Lots of cameras and guns up here in the NorthEast though :D

As it should be. Good to hear!

The spring has been a bust so far, so everything is still inside. But is business as usual because I typically harden off all of my seedlings Memorial Day weekend. I'd definitely do a permanent 4-season green house if I had the room, but I live in a quiet residential neighborhood with a 0.5 acre plot.

Yea, we have 3 acres, but I haven't got around to doing it yet.

My dream has always been to use the swimming pool. Its in ground, 10 feet deep end, 4 foot shallow end, 25x40. Id like to build a dome over that and have a inground greenhouse. Make the deepest point a tilapia pond to feed an aquaponics setup.

Too bad the kids love swimming and we just had it all updated.

I've had mine out full time during the day now unless it's raining. They are finally ready and can handle the 50 degrees without any drama. That 1 or 2 warm days made them EXPLODE. So glad they bounced back from the cold wet streak. Now we need more of that warm sun...

My 6 girls after I let them get some rain this morning...still in 1 gallon pots.

Just timing the transplant to their final home pots, and hoping it matches up with the weather being there so I wont be needing the lights anymore.
I've been thinking its too cold but maybe I should bring the girls outside full time now :)

If you are in the 781/508...its getting around that time when mostly all days will be over 50. Night time can still get a little chilly, but we are fast approaching a break in the rain and warm days and nights. Cant.. wait!

Took the girls outside for the afternoon but black-thumb has me thinking maybe I can start leaving them out full time. What do you guys think? I usually wait until Memorial Day.
They might be a touch too small for full time IMO. But deff big enough to be out in the sun for a few hours when its warm during the day. Then I'd just extend that time as they get bigger and transplanted, etc.

Looking good by the way. That is some hyper green you got going there.

Thanks. I'm in the 413 :) , so I'll probably keep bringing them out in the afternoons for now and plan on full time by Memorial Day.
FYI, those are in Coast of Maine Stonington Blend - love that stuff!
Planning on feeding nothing but homemade compost tea this year :)

More clouds and rain today. Eventually my 3 tiny T5s are gonna tap out and the plants will start suffering. Haha. Few more days and we should be onto the sun thought.

Getting somewhere at least! Had to transplant the biggest one into its final 10gal pot. It was about 40% bigger then the biggest one here. Its a "Pure Indica" from ILGM. And it was getting WIDE af. Haha

How's everyone else doing with this God forsaken weather?

My God...we can only hope. A repeat of last year, and I'll be buying a tent. What a nightmare that was.

I'll gladly take a soaked May if it gives us a dry finish.

Hi Bay Staters 781 checking in. Have plants in the indoor nursery and getting ready to plant outside. First grow outdoors, after 4 grows indoors starting last July. What should be the right temp range where it’s safe to plant outside. Can I plant with daytime 70+ and nighttime 60? How about Daytime Mid 60’s nights upper 50’s. Chomping at the bit to plant these girls outside. Planning on planting right in soil, any gotchas to avoid?

Plant lineup for outside
Kings Kush ( purchased clone and have recloned a few times)
Girl Scout Cookies (Seedsman)
Super Kush (Seedsman)
Jack Herer (Seedsman Freebie)
Cheese (Seedsman Freebie)
Chocolate Orange (Bag seed).

Thanks for sharing you knowledge

It is exciting for sure!

Long answer...If I was going to be in the ground (which I WILL NOT because I need to recover emotionally for a season or 2 from last years BEATING ) I would say the safety window has opened today. The longer we get into the window, the safer it gets, but obviously there will need to be time for them to get acquainted with their new home after the move, so that's a factor also.

It is also largely strain dependent. Some deal better with a few cold nights, the direct light of the sun, rain, pests, soil changes, etc (all things they will be faced with that they haven't had to deal with before you move them). The more hardy strains, I would say can venture out earlier in the "safety window". More sensitive strains or phenos may need to be deeper into the window. So the "best" time is really based on your knowledge, conditions, faith in the forecast, and how well the girls are doing before the move.

Short answer...any time in the next week when you have time, if they are doing good, are hardly strains, and have had some exposure already (hardened), should be fine. If they are still building up strength, are/have been fickle to get started, or are known to be strians touchy to our type of weather, wait a week, check the forecast and reassess.

Also, dont forget. Its not all or nothing. If you have some hardy ones that are killing it right now and look great, they can probably head out earlier then ones that need more time. Totally based on whats happening with each and your feelings on how they will deal with the stress of the transplant plus living outside.

Good luck! Lots of guys with more knowledge then me on here, so ask a lot of questions and take lots of pics.
