Lol Sorry I haven't been keeping this thread updated. Plants are two weeks into flower now and have gotten a lot larger. I've run into the same issue that I had last time. I have one plant that wants to be a lot bigger than all the others which is annoying. I have three plants propped up on old paint cans and ceramic tiles so the canopy is as even as I can make it. Bonus is it's given me a spot to clamp a fan under the canopy.

They look really good. You would be a good candidate for some defoliation, lots of covered up bud sites in that jungle. Would breathe a lot better too.

I plan on taking a bunch of leaves and small shoots off this weekend, just wanted them to finish their stretch first. I've been plucking a couple older leaves off every day and trying to tuck newer ones out of the way as best I can. I'm a glutton for punishment, it got this crowded on me last time. :)

Thanks Guys! I did a major defoliation yesterday. They're not done stretching yet and the tallest one is almost four feet now and I'm seeing signs of flower. They're going nuts on their water consumption, each plant is drinking about 3/4 of a gallon per plant per day. Roots are almost as big as they were when I finished last time. I'm really struggling with high humidity now. We still haven't turned on the a/c yet and the ambient humidity in the basement was hitting 80%. I put in a large dehumidifier that seems to have everything under control for now. I think I need to find a way to vent the tent outside. After this grow is done, I'm going to stop for a while and start up again in oct/nov. I didn't have any of these problems in the colder months.

Quick update: the plants have exploded over the past week and a half. My tallest one is now pushing five feet and still going. The tent is almost 7 feet tall so hopefully I have enough room to finish. Everywhere that I've read about this strain says it supposed to be short like 30". It's starting to stink a bit when the tent is open, but not too bad. The roots are huge now and filling the entire bucket.

It's still not warm enough to turn on the a/c so I'm using the portable dehumidifier. It's working okay and keeping the humidity in the room at around 45%. I'm pushing high 50's in the tent. Hopefully warm weather arrives soon. I think having the a/c on will solve all these problems.

Thanks diggs!

Do you think they will get much taller? The tallest one is now five feet from the floor. My tent is 6'11" so I'm running out of room quickly with a long way to go.
Its tough to say, hopefully not a lot taller, the buds are starting to set in so thats a good sign. Did you defoliate them after the last update? They might have stretched either way, but I've seen it happen many times, that defoliated plants stretch more reaching for light. I've seen lots of side by sides over the years and that is usually one of the results.

I've picked a few leaves here and there since I defoliated. Maybe a half dozen at most. I have a friend coming by this weekend to help me move the filter to the side of the tent and the fan to the outside so I can move the light up the the very top. Just my luck that both times I've had one plant that wants to reach for the stars.

You've been doing great canopy control and training. Learning the strains you are workin with will help a lot on this growing adventure you are on.

Those dwc buckets can produce explosive growth. I think I would be cutting the veg time WAAAY down and flowering a few weeks sooner to control the size more. I grow a bunch of small plants so I don't have to veg them long. I know you've got plant limits, but if you cut 2-3 weeks off the veg then your harvest turn over is that much faster too :).

LSD was what I wanted to grow my first time around. was unable to find it in Canada and Barney's doesn't deliver here. I managed to find a vendor in Niagara Falls who had stock and so we went for a day trip. Pineapple Chunk is what I'm thinking about growing this fall.

Someone had told me that they're prone to being hermaphrodites. I hope that's not true, one of my plants did that last grow and I had to take it down a week early.

I think everything has fully recovered from the low PH and it's putting out a lot of roots now.

I also source most of my seeds from the Niagara seed bank as well I order them online since Niagara is 4.5hrs from me have you had any luck ordering from canuck seeds? Or anywhere from the states? My next grow is going to be a triple cheese from barney's farms and a master kush from hso both from Nigeria seed bank.

Thanks! I used a lot of the advice you gave me on the last grow. I don't know if you remember, but my plants were so dense that you couldn't see into the center of the plant. Here's a pic shortly before harvest. I used GH rapidstart and I noticed that my root growth was way faster in the initial stage than it was last time. I vegged for five weeks, If I started at three or four weeks, would they be sexually mature enough to start?

This is only my second grow. I bought RQS Northern Light from https://montrealcannabis-seeds.ca/ I didn't go back to them because the seeds I received were in a little vial with no retail markings. I had such extreme variances from plant to plant that made me suspect that they're just putting random seeds in and sending them out. It was my first time, so that could also have a lot to do with it. I like that Niagara has a storefront and the retail packaging was included.

You can put plants in 12/12 from seed and they will just flower when they are mature. Whether those would be mature at 4 weeks is tough to say, but they would start as soon as they were ready.

I just figured I'd brainstorm ideas for you :).

Did you have the lights lower when they were younger, and raised them as they grew? Or where the lights kept high the whole time. It might just be the genetics, but it seems for sure like these plants stretched more then your last grow.
