All good bro. I have had more issues in soil / cocca than hydro personally. If you are doing dwc etc, it's always in nutrients, just got to make sure they don't run out. I keep it very simple and it seems to work well for me

cool.. well this is only my second set of plants and first in coco... so, will work my way up:) so far coco has been amazing compared to soil though.. stuff just seems to grow much faster than soil at this point.

It's all learning, that's the fun part about it. Once you get your system/processes down, you will be away. The biggest thing I like about straight hydro is the growth and not having to get rid of the medium at the end of the grow.

Yeah.. they are only about 4 weeks old still pretty small but happy little plants. i don't know where i heard 5.0 for coco. but it's been working well..
I've read a few posters on here recommend 5.2 if you use RO, which I do. I can't remember who it was. I didn't think anything about it until I double checked my Apera meter which I knew was already a bit off. It was more than a bit off. I thought I was at like 6 or 6.2 but I was a full point off. Doing 5.2 and didn't even realize.

Plants are fine, doing great, so whatever bongsmilie
(we'll see what happens in flower, yippee)

Also, I reuse my coco, just make sure you rinse it well and let it dry, too.

Ahh good to know :) Honestly, i'm not so sure about the whole PH thing.. i think if you aren't off by miles it's fine.. half the time i forget to PH my stuff and it hasn't seemed to matter..

Yeah usually dosing the nutes will bring it down, if you are lucky to within acceptable ranges. I use ice to bring my water temp down, so I do have a bit of tap water, very small. I almost never need to adjust it, and usually slightly up if at all.

And when I started with GH 3 part I used a ton of ph down, especially with tap water. I bought a gallon of ph down. Eeek.
