Mainlining too early or aggressively

Hey guys, I posted the other day about possibly mainlining too early (Day 21) so the nodes I had tied down were not very long at all and they looked pretty uncomfortable. I have since taken the wiring off and untied them until they grow out a bit more so that I have more space to work with while wiring them down. I have another problem though. One of my stems (or nodes) snapped right at the point that it touches the main. The opposing stem did not break and therefore is about 3x the size of the broken one. The broken one healed up after 24 hours but of course it's alot smaller. Should I just HST the other side to allow some time for little guy to catch up in size? As well, how long should I wait to tie the stems back down after they had broken off of the main. I am worried they are weaker now and don't want to rebreak them. I apologize for the lack of photos but I am without a camera at this time. I hope I've described my issue well enough, and I thank anyone with advice in advance.

Let it veg some more. Don't worry, and get some patience. Read up more in the meantime.
Thanks for the help man. I've read read read read and read, I read the entire Nugbuckets mainline post (300 pages) lol. I am just a wussy, worried, and my patience sucks. I'm sure you were just as worried when you first mainlined, it's not for the faint of heart if you ask me. My plants looked very sexy before I chopped them, lol. Thanks though I appreciate the quick response, I will just learn to let them be for a few days.

Can I ask you for help about the broken stems though? They are perked back up and growing toward the light, but theres still a small tear at the base where it touches the main...should that tear turn into a big fat knuckle like I've seen in hundreds of pictures? Just wait a few days or a week and that knuckle will strengthen up and I should be alright to re-try mainlining it?

Yes let them heal, and grow more. Then gently work them. Get some pics up too. :)

Also you might want to start putting low doses of silicon in your feed to muscle the plant up. They only need a little.

One time on an early grow I dropped a whole ghetto fabulous cfl array on my plant. Snapped the base 2 inches up in early flower. I splinted it up. It grew a fat knuckle, and no longer needed the splint. Lol!

While I've got you here, I just noticed 1 more thing that is pretty important if I can ask. Sorry if I'm bothering you, but I just got real up close and personal with my little tiny girls, their side branches that need tying down soon, seem to have 4 nodes each. When I top the side branches in a few days, do I top down to the first set of nodes, or do I leave all 4 coming off of each of the 2 side branches? I hope that makes sense without a photo, I will certainly get my girlfriends camera and take pics if need be, but basically my question is, there's 4 nodes on each of my 2 side branches, and I dont know if I cut off 2 of the nodes altogether or leave 4 nodes on each side branch? I am trying to end up with 8 tops, and as things are now, there are 8 nodes growing after just 1 topping. If I top again do I want to leave 4 nodes on both sides, and those are my 8 tops?

What did you end up doing?

The answer to your question is: if each branch has 4 side nodes, you can top at any of the side nodes. Just make sure you top at the same node on each side so the plant is as even as possible. Any growth above where you topped it, well it's gone because you just cut it off. Any growth below where you topped it, strip off. You do not want that growth growing. Only the new tops you create are to grow.
If you top at the 4th node you'll have a taller plant. Top at the first node and you'll have a shorter plant. Other than that, I'm not sure what is ir is not beneficial about topping where.
I think Nuggbuckets or however, just tops it again when that first node is mature enough to be topped again. He doesnt let it grow out 4 nodes worth.

How is bit turning out? As long as you don't butcher your plant, it will grow in one way or another.
