Wishing you the best.

Careful with that Dry Koolbloom.
Speaking from experience, it can really F things up. Ammoniacal nitrogen.
Yes true that when i was using dyna grow
6ml to 8ml a gallon i was tasting it a bit that shit amonical
But my mix of mc and kb gave 4 times less amonical then when i was using dyna gro so i cross my finger
And a big 2 week flush .

I’m trying to keep my grow strictly as organic as one can.. but me and this FF trio aren’t working...I only use 1 of the 3(big bloom)..glad I found this thread
I just started using MC myself. Got a prize pack almost 2 weeks ago and so far the plants like it.

Can't call it organic tho as it's base nutes are the same thing that my AN nutes are made of. Saving the AN for future DWC runs but am growing in ProMix HP with added manures and earth worm castings with myco for lots of good bacteria for a semi-organic grow. Semi-hydro? :D

Good luck with yours!

I have just shut down my indoor notill
It gave some of the best I’ve ever tried,
But life happens and am now going back to perilite hempy.
@grilledcheese101
Lighting from two hlg 288 quantum boards powered by a Meanwell 240h-2100 driver.
2.5 sf bloom area
Will dim driver to 200 watts.

After much reaserch I have picked Mega Crop over V&B and KISS maxi Bloom or Jacks as my nutrients.
(It was the chitin that made me do it...)
Since my tap water is 293ppm and ph7,
I will be mixing 50/50 with 50ppm r/o water
I’ll mix mega crop up to 450-500 ppm
Then I’ll be adding in approx 150ppm diluted kool bloom
using the

Gt21 Koolbloom Dilution Method.

Ph as needed
That should make it approx 600-650 ppm total every watering
(every 3-4 days)
Be also foiler feeding weekly with sea 90 (since I got it may as well use it) for the mag and sulfur and other mineral input boost.
Do a 1/4 nutrient rinse once a month or so.
No pushing just letting the plant have what it wants.
I have tasted fantastic organic grown and want to see how close
Mega crop can come ( or surpass) it.
I have gotten the sample of mega crop via the mail service.

Is there any way to tell if it’s v1 or v2????
Thanks....

great news! Yes, making it very easily soluble in water in all conditions was one of our main goals when designing it!
Hello do you work or rep Greenleaf? If so I have a few questions..has anyone ever ran into issues with nutrient lockout with Megacrop. I been using it in my veg and now I am experiencing some nutrient lock out..I started out with 1/4 strength then went to 1/2 strength and they loved it so I went up to full strength and after about two week I am bang at 7.0-7.2 for pH and showing signs of lockout and iron cal mag deficiency! I ordered the cal mag from you guys. Hoping that after the pH down flush goes to 6-6.2 I can add some of your cal mag in with my Megacrop both at 1/4 strength to start and hoping that helps. I am so bummed out I really want to order your sweet candy and PK booster badly..but my wife don't want me to ubless this works she is convinced that the megacrop thru the pH high and is hurting our babies! I wish u guys did some samples of those so I can show her it wasn't the megacrop!

Megacrop was a bust for me. Using it in hydro with 220 ppm tap water had me chasing a high ph all the way through. The girls didn't like the high ph and showed me some nice yellow leaves before they started dropping leaves. I guess if I kept up with the ph and got used to putting ph down in every 1 or 2 days I could get a decent crop. The Floranova and Dynagro that is growing right beside them look great and the ph stays stable. The lazy part of me says ditch the megacrap. It would probably work much better in RO water or soilless mediums. I will use it on my outdoor crop next summer. I think this is the first time in 30 years that I actually had a rising ph. It must have some kind of buffers in it for RO water or container growing. It works but it ain't easy for me.
I am having similar issues with some of my strains in my grow atm. I am using Megacrop and I use tap water that has sat out for 24-48hrs to dissolve some of the chlorine with the megacrop and it has spiked my pH to 7-7.2 in my house pro mix. Which is soiless medium. Super frustrated as I now Have to ad pH down to every water/feeding I give the girls. As they got some nutrient lock out and I had to do a flush with pH down until the runoff read 6.0-6.2. let them sit until they are dry and give them their first feeding since the flush with pH down. So they got Megacrop at 1/4-1/2 strength with a little cal mag and Liquid Karma as a foliar feed. The weird thing is it's my blue cookies that are the worse. The Purple Kush, Chem Dawg, Bubblicious, Jamaican Red and Blue Gelato don't seem to be affected quite as much.

Respectfully. Sometimes we just have to let it go.
Dump the Mega Crop and use what you have had success with.

I've been using the MC 2.0 for almost two weeks now and it's looking good. Did some pH testing today just to see what's going on with it and it seems great to me.

With 1.0g/L in RO water the pH came out to 6.0 so that should work fine in my ProMix HP that has added manures, earth worm castings and myco. I was low on RO so mixed some up stronger at 1.5g/L and used half tap with RO. My tap water comes out of a dugout on my property and is pH 8.3 @ 350ppm. With the nutes it was pH 6.5 so that ain't bad. The tap water isn't treated other than to filter it down to 5 micron so there's a fine sediment gets thru and should be chock full of good bacteria etc that will hopefully work well with the dry myco I'm using.

I also added 1g/4L of the Green Leaf Carbo to keep the myco happy.

I'm pretty sure this is the menu for the 2.0 MC isn't it @AquaTerra?

Is that your runoff pH or the nute mix before you add it to the pots?

You can't get an accurate pH from the runoff even if you follow all the right methods which almost nobody does right because they just don't know how. Even if done right it's more an indication rather than a true reading.

I'm going to let the freshly watered plants sit until tomorrow then go down and slowly add some extra water to force some runoff into a clean tray and see what kind of result I get knowing the pH of the nute mix I added today. Still just a ballpark number but a good indication of what the pH is in the rootzone after everything has had time to stabilize.

It sounds like your pH is too high if you really are getting lockouts. To get the pH of the rootzone down you'll need to water in some pH 5 for anything to change. I don't think it's the nutes from my readings today. Swear to Jah you won't kill your plants with some low pH water and it will probably need to be done more than once. Get some good runoff with that to flush the system a bit too.

Make sure it's not just mag def if you're using led's.

Is anyone running mc under hps and promix using cal mag? Dont really see a mag issue and epsom salt here and there seems to do the trick. Just wondering if a small dose of cal mag will give it an extra boost.

The cal mag i was looking to add is cal kick by plant prod. With no n

I use that stuff and never noticed anything much happen with extra CalMag. I use a wee bit as I also use RO water, I use Epsom salt as well.
