Sooo me and my cuzin are in a debate hes been growing for years now and hes the one who gave me all the equipment to start...so today the little shit head says u will be luck to get a LB and was serious...however i am running 2 1000w hps lights with raptor xl hoods i got a 4x8 tent with 12 plants in 7 gal pots i am useing vegbloom nutes im also growing in soil...my room stays at a steady 78 degrees and around 35-60% humidity...word of thumb is gram per watt correct and since im new .5 per watt would be great...so from what i have told u what can i possibly yield and whats the lowest?? I have been really really studing growing for some time now and i would like to think i will get more than a LB i would be happy with 2 lbs thats my actual goal...what u guys think?? Is he just being a shit head? Lol

There are a lot of factors, but if you honey dick it, 2+ lbs. depends on yield potential for the strain you grow, and whether or not you drop the ball. Worry less about someone else’s standards, and produce a clean and healthy plant from start to finish. That’s a lot of light for that space, but not beyond a happy point. Keep your humidity down during flowering... 60% is too high. Best of luck and cheers!

P.s. Shoot for two, expect less than a pound. You can’t lose!

P.s^2 Age/quality/spectrum/power of bulbs, temp/humidity stability, airflow, stressors, genetics, training type as it relates to lighting and tops saturation are all factors that can have huge impacts on your yield, among others.

A gram per watt is doing well not a standard. Many who have grown for years don't hit that and its very strain dependant and experience related.

2-4lb in a 8x4.
Aim low and build on it with each grow.

Find out how old the bulbs are and replace them if needed.

Well the lowest yield would be zero but you’d really have to screw up to be there. Unless of course all your plants are males. Are they girl seeds? What strains? Like Corey said 2-4 is doable. Don’t over water and don’t over fertilize and keep things clean.

I would have to guess heat management will be a challenge with two 1000 watters. If you can keep at 78 hats off to you. A couple pounds should be doable if all goes right.

Air cooled hoods i keep my room at 73-80 no problem at 40-60% humidity

I think hes messimg with me hes like my brother and we are verry competitive...so he could just be breaking my balls....he even wanted to start in coco..i was like wtf dude let me master soil first lol hes ego is pretty big hes running 25 light opp right now

You should be able to hit 0.5 grams per watt with average plants unless something goes wrong. With some very high producing strains you can get 1.0 and some amazing growers can get over that. In the long run you don't want to focus on just grams per watt but also want to factor in cycles per year. Doesn't matter if you can get 1.0 grams per watt on a 18 week cycle if you could have got 0.6 on a 9 week cycle.
