Curious , whats everyone averaging for yield using 3 gal. fabric bags ?
I’ll let you know in about 5 weeks. I have an experiment going. 9 plants in 3 gallon bags vegged about a month and thrown into the flower tent. So far it requires more frequent watering as expected but they seem to use the feeds more quickly.Curious , whats everyone averaging for yield using 3 gal. fabric bags ?
Ya I'd be watering everyday with my low Rh. I went back to plastic so it wouldn't be a daily thing. I really liked em though if it wasn't so dry here.I’ll let you know in about 5 weeks. I have grown in 3,5,7,10 & 20 gallon bags. I definitely prefer over plastic. Trying this because I see people with very large plants in very small containers. I haul all water. 100 miles round trip in Interior Alaska. Anything saving water is a consideration. Or utilizing it better.Ya I'd be watering everyday with my low Rh. I go for 5gal; watering every 3-5 days depending on temps / sunshineCurious , whats everyone averaging for yield using 3 gal. fabric bags ?
how often you watering them ? , whats your perlite to soil ratio ,? I usually go 1/3 perlite , but if the 3 gal. dry quicker , maybe I should back off a little on the perlite . In plastic I watered every 2 days even in 5 gal.I’ll let you know in about 5 weeks. I have an experiment going. 9 plants in 3 gallon bags vegged about a month and thrown into the flower tent. Back off on the perlite. I watered twice a week until about week 5. I’m retired so frequent work on them is easy for me. I add perlite to my Pro Mix but next run in the smaller bags will not have any additional.how often you watering them ? , whats your perlite to soil ratio ,? Water wise, I start out watering about every 6-days and by Late flower about every 3-days. I use the lift the pot method and I don’t let it dry out because I grow organic.I’ll let you know in about 5 weeks. I water only by lift. Some plants are just slower to take it up. I would rather play catch-up with dry plants than deal with overwatering.Water wise, I start out watering about every 6-days and by Late flower about every 3-days. I use the Rev’s soil mix: equal parts organic potting soil/ coco/ewc or compost/perlite. Thinking about switching out coco with peat.how often you watering them ? , whats your perlite to soil ratio ,? Sorry forgot to add that was with 4 plants per 4x4 under 400 w of vero29 cobs, was a beaster girl the 3 next to it managed 3 zips/ 10 zips/ and 3 zipsHmm are those big numbers in coco is that with mulitple waterings per day? I water once a day and ran 3 gallon pots for last year or so and I average a lil over 3 zips per plant with 9 plants per 4x4. I went down to 6 per 4x4 one run and hit a lil over 5 per plant. It was roughly the same yield for the area. My bottom buds definitely were better with them more spread out and surprised me on the scales as I didn't think they looked any bigger than normal.
But if you guys are hitting that many per 3 gallon I'm doing something wrong. What is your spacing like on plants, like how many do you think per 4x4?
any photos of that horticultural miracle?Have reached 16 zips on one 3gal 100% coco
ya thats about where i was with 3 gals. I have a great looking plant in a 3gal right now (pic, day 33) just because i wasnt sure what seed it was and didnt want to possibly use the flowering space unwisely. So far i bet i'd harvest, as you said, about 3-4 from her.hey man, i was using 3gal fabric pots, plants were out growing them.. getting 3-4 oz per plant. i now use 4 gal that i sourced.
