timer...you want a timer that sets to the second. Something like this. The one i ordered off amazon.ca isnt listed on the .com site

Other than that you just need a tote/reservoir. I bought 3 x 55g storage bins from walmart, they are only 18" tall, so i can place them under my tables, you can use just about any type of container you want that suits your space. Many use the round garbage containers ive seen. You will also need to hit your local plumbing or building supply store and grab some 1/2" line or some pipe to hook up your pump to the manifold.

That timer isn't the same as the one I got from.ca, will do what you need, just different brand


I'm not setup yet, still waiting for parts, I'll have 3 x 55 gallon totes for reservoirs

Each table has its own res and pump.

So 150 gallons Max

I would go Timber cobs all day long. I have a real frankenroom at the moment of every light.

The lights i like the best are cobs. And Timbers are beauty. Top shelf best of the bunch. As I replace my existing lighting i am building my own or getting Timbers with the same guts.

It is a 100% no regrets decision. And the fatty fills the space right seems like a no brainer now you just need to think about the light tempt (3k or 3.5k)

I have a 315 cmh and I was just going to build a square aluminium angle frame and put 400w (4x veros) in my corners and have up to 700ish watts for a 4x4 when I go up. They have nearly the same height at that intensity.

@coreywebster I'll pm you when I have a bit more time. But pretty much just my own tubing/res rig with some regulators and air stone on a couple different timers. With some stakes. I have a timer on a shop vac that drains directly to a 5 gallon watering can so I can reuse my jacks 321 solution in my flowerbeds. Its a bit thrown together and I'll refine it a bit when I get more time/monies.

Ya i looked hard at them, price got me in the end. They were alot more expensive on amazon.ca than the 6 port ones i ended buying. Im only going to be using the drip system for one or two runs while i search for a few moms. After that its all ebb and flow

Love the floraflex stuff tho, i would have def spent the extra cash on it if i was planning to keep it for a while.

@diggs99 Hey man I was hoping I could bother you for a sec. I am about to purchase the stuff you laid out for the watering system, the components make sense, but may I ask a few questions about the actual operation?

1. When running the lines, should they be equal length for even water distribution?
2. How often will it run at a time? Just a guess is fine.
3. Do I need something in the pot to disperse the water. In some photos I seen @TintEastwood had some ring like fixtures around the base of the plant, do I need something like that?
4. Do you add nutes right to the res?
5. In an attempt to make things easy I keep thinking out run off/waste. I am not set up like you, your room is shaping up great by the way, nice lights! I've been thinking of placing a 4x4 flood tray in my tent with the pots on risers and vacuuming it out daily, if that would be sufficient.

1. Yes equal length lines will allow for equal pressure, or you could connect reducing valves on each line and cut them whatever length you want, you can control flow with the valve

2. Length of time will depend on how big pots you use . If I had to guess I'd say 15-20 seconds?

3. I would do as you suggested, use your flood tray, put something under your pots so they dont sit in water, use shop vac to suck out runoff

4.Yes, you can add nutes directly to res.

I would run the system until you get about 20% runoff and time it to see what works for your setup.

If autowatering I prefer a slower rate of flow and a little longer to water them. That way you don't have any splashing and soil movement. Using those 1/4" spaghetti hose lines with some drip emitter stakes on the ends works good. Large pots you can just put more than one per pot.

Just my thoughts on the setup.
