Spectrum has an affect on every aspect of the plant in every stage. I've flowered from 1750k clear up to 10k. And every in between and mixed all together. Pink is not the best spectrum. That mix that is shown in the charts is not the optimal spectrum to flower with.
Your clearly not the sharpest tool in the shed and just come in talking nonsense.
Like pretty much everyone that is following this thread knows the story that HGL is releasing a new form factor light with the same spectrum as the previous models.
Motivation being to bring cost down and be competitive in the current market. Comp render?

p.s. your kids are homely

Which makes this side by side or thread shit show useless. And my kids have nothing to do with this you moron. Way to make yourself look as dumb as this side by side.

be competitive in the current market
is that why she is refusing to use a quality, high efficiency power supply in her new model(s)?

In other news I asked my power supply factory if we could do 92-94% efficiency on a future driver. They said it's not an issue; however to reach those efficiencies means the driver gets much larger and heavier in size, and requires more components. The same 100W driver in 4-6% higher efficiency would triple the cost and at least double the size/weight of our present driver. No wonder Meanwell is so damn pricey/big/heavy. Larger size and weight also means it costs more to ship, and thus it would take a LONG time to see a ROI on a 4-6% gain in efficiency for the consumer (not to mention it would increase the initial investment cost substantially). Needless to say I'm not forking out 3X the money for such a small gain in efficiency.
No Meanwell or equivalent driver, not competitive, easy as that.

Meanwell are very good drivers. Heavy and very efficient.
A skimp on a 4% efficiency isn't something I would discard as total shit though. What's the cost of that 4%, and what is the gain?
Most of these growers can't even grow to half of a lights potential, let alone see a 4% gain on efficiency. Just average dude talk. Yeah string it out on an electric bill over the course of 5 years and I can start to see it paying off.

power around here costs now between 27 and 32 €ct/kWh...

That's more than a Bar8 commercial version in a Canna-Spec, js.
Edit: Also more than a 550 V2 Rspec.
Edit: Also more than an ILuminar iL8, lol.
By the time you cover say a 5x10 which is what that light was built for. Which is upgradable to 2880w if he wants very easy. Raise it up and cover 7×12 for just the price of 2 drivers. It will cost over 4 grand to do that with fluence or the like.

Edit: that just basic pricing off the top of my head. A buck a watt is what I average.

As long as she has the cheapest product on the market you are right but if it's more expensive and uses an inferior driver she's just trying to make a few extra dollars per fixture. I personally would pay an extra $50 on a $1000 plus fixture to have a name brand driver.

Last I knew he was still flowering out these plants. I'm still looking forward to seeing how it goes for him. Hybrid vegs all his plants into giant bushes. I'm not sure why everyone is so surprised by how long he vegged for. He said right from the beginning he would veg out the plants and then pick the best ones to flower because he likes flowering one big plant in a 4x4 area.

Why dont we take the ideal chatter to the other thread so this one isn't constant clutter.

Idk what thread your watching but here the rgb id outgrowing the white in everyway plus not leaving me with dark purple stems that lead to yellow leaves.
Flower begins this wknd.
Waiting fir the white plant to fill in a lil more but the "pink" (not pink btw) plant has been ready for weeks now. Yes there was gnats but my other plants spoke to me with a megaphone.
Also trying to revive a few that got the purple to badly n caused yellow leaves. The CMHPS is curing that now.

You are arguing about grow lights, so you decide to call the dudes kids ugly?

Do you have any idea what a pathetic scumbag you look like right now? I dont know if you actually are a scumbag in real life, but dragging someones family into it is vile.

I understand getting caught up in banter and taking it too far. But if you have any self respect you should apologize to that dude.

260 wall watts, cost to build $280 US. What's the price point of the X84's that you are running? Will 2 of them cover a 4x4?

Already too many variables that's been introduced to this competition to come to a decisive conclusion.
