Should I give up on these sprouting? Pics

hi guys,

Trying to pull off a grow of some Indica for my GF and I’ve got a tight timeline before I leave for a trip so I don’t have a ton of time to wait it out on these....

Soaked the seeds in water 18 hours Sunday-Monday.

Paper towel in the dark Monday-Tuesday.

Tuesday they had a 1/4” taproot and were planted in peat pucks, put in a propagation dome under a cfl.

Wednesday - nothing

Thursday - Thursday night I very carefully removed the soil overtop of them using tweezers and went to bed feeling hopeful they would pop over night as they look to be alive but it’s Friday now and they haven’t changed.

I know I’m rushing this and should just wait but the last time I used these seeds they all popped the morning after planting.

Thoughts?

Stop poking at it. Keep the temps around 75*F.

I don't use domes for seedlings as the media stays wet too long, which isn't good.

Temps are at 80 right now.

I just opened the vents on the dome as per your suggestion.

Thanks! Hopefully see some movement today.

Still nothing :( I took the dome off and let them get plenty of air but no luck!

I am wondering what happened? I’ve had 100% success with this method in the past. Jiffy puck too wet?

From my experience Jiffy pucks are just too wet. They retain way too much water. I eventually gave up on them and started to go from paper towels straight into damp soil and my germination rates have been so much more successful since then.

If you must use Jiffy pucks, then I think it's a good idea after you some them to poke the hole where the seed will go and leave them out to dry 1 day.... Just to make sure the hole isn't too wet.

So many times I put seeds in those darn pucks that had already cracked open, only to find them dead later from drowning.
