I like to use this method as well, just pinch and slowly roll the stem and bend it back and forth until it finally folds on itself, at first I snapped a few stems but after that you get the feel for it. If you do snap it usually if one side of the stem is still connected you can throw some tape on it and it will repair itself.

I tried it on a couple plants this round and love it. I learned not to do it too late in flowering for some strains though since it's stressful for em. But I will keep doing it in the future, especially during veg. I tried it on my basil plant too and it's working great on that too. And I noticed the buds that were supercropped are gonna be bigger. Here's a pic of a Golden Goat nug, and plant I took a week ago. Didn't take before pics. Still needs a while longer to ripen, but am impressed with the results of supercropping.

Use 2 pens or pencils to make an impromptu vise. Stem between. Squeeze. Easy. Do it this way to pinch so that you can literally aim the branch someplace it might not be pointing towards. Usually your side branches. You must do this to all branches that will grow past where you are trying to shape a “level” canopy. Or 2 bullet casings or pieces of copper tubing. I’ve used needle nose pliers. I’ve also used hemostats which are SMOOTH surface. The serrated surface ones are actually towel clamps and damage the stem easily. I’ve tried a lot of ways. The pens/pencils seem most easily available.

I use my thumb pressed against the edge of my closed bonsai scissors. I always expect to hear that dreaded snapping sound but this method really prevents it. Ironically two of the six I just did it two are outdoors Golden Goats.

I squeeze and roll the branches between thumb and index finger until I feel it get soft, then I use 2 fingers and a thumb to gently bend it until it's at a 90 degree angle

This crop was topped once and supercropped constantly for canopy management
