“Island paradise” soil mix

What’s up guys. Haven’t been on here in a few years! I’ve gotten about 4 grows under my belt just experimenting with different soil mixes. Right now I could use some advice from the pros. Going for quality over yield, what do you guys think of this mix?

15% Promix Hp cc

15% coco coir

20% scoria

20% biochar

10% cricket frass and earthworm castings

10% down to earth vegan mix

10% bokashi compost (the only things I’ve thrown in are pineapple, papaya, kiwi, banana, cherry pits, turmeric, ginger root, cucumber, celery, and bokashi).

Will feed simple sugars, aact, sst, ffj, and humic acid every other watering as well. Tell me what you guys think!

Major red flags for me are the 10% vegan mix and 20% biochar.

I think we might both be getting our maths wrong with the vegan mix, hopefully someone who actually uses it can chime in, but I work it out as being 0.02% of your mix and that's roughly at 2-2.5 cups per cubic foot. DTE recommend 2-4 tablespoons per gal, which works out as 0.008-0.015%....................10% would be nearly 12 cups per c/ft???

I really like biochar, but it is best to be careful with it. 'IF' you know it is from a good source and has been properly charged, I might go to 10%, 15% max!!! Otherwise I wouldn't go higher than 5%, 'IF' I'd use it at all. Improperly made or treated biochar will really fuck up your soil!!! Even good biochar is unpredictable with regards to ph levels.

The mix seems to be lacking minerals IMHO............lime, gypsum, rock dusts, etc Is Pro-mix pre-limed?

Wuz brackin DB! Thanks for the advice. The dte vegan mix I believe has greensand, azomite, Langbeinite, and rock phosphate. Would this suffice for trace minerals?
