Thank you for all the advise you've given me over my two grows. Now I'm going to have to start researching and learning about growing in soil. I'm only going to be keeping one mother in soil so I don't have to be constantly lugging bags of soil. Kinda wish I did this before. One of the plants has beautiful flowers and grew to a reasonable height. The others were too tall for my liking.

After this I'm shutting down for a few months. I'm going on vacation for my anniversary in September. It's going to be weird not having weed growing in my basement after nine months of going down to check on them every day.

Thanks Guys! I did a major defoliation yesterday. They're not done stretching yet and the tallest one is almost four feet now and I'm seeing signs of flower. They're going nuts on their water consumption, each plant is drinking about 3/4 of a gallon per plant per day. Roots are almost as big as they were when I finished last time. I'm really struggling with high humidity now. We still haven't turned on the a/c yet and the ambient humidity in the basement was hitting 80%. I put in a large dehumidifier that seems to have everything under control for now. I think I need to find a way to vent the tent outside. After this grow is done, I'm going to stop for a while and start up again in oct/nov. I didn't have any of these problems in the colder months.

I like them for not letting it suck in so much at the canopy level and they're not that expensive. It still sucks in above and below where you mount the bars.

I finished harvesting on Saturday. I'm pretty happy with the results. I think I got more than last time, but I'll know for sure in a week or so. The buds are definitely a lot bigger than my last harvest. I made some bubble hash yesterday. It didn't go so well due to dirty bubble bags and I lost a lot on the first wash so lots of effort for very little reward

Congrats on round 2!!! That hash looks like once it dries it should be pretty good though. Bubble hash is a lot of work. Some guys use little RV mini washing machines to do the work part. I've never invested in it though. I started making QWISO or QWET and never looked back .

Thanks Thundercat. I went with bubble hash because it seemed like the easiest way to process trim. Maybe it's time to try something new. I'm not really into baked goods and cannabutter, I like gummies for edibles. Since these plants were so tall, all the buds more than 16" under the canopy were useless albino buds. I put them all in the bin so I had a massive amount of trim and was expecting an good amount of hash. The time would have been better spent going to the dispensary and buying hash.

I'll post the final weight next week when they're done drying.

Yeah that’s what I figured. Really I think only way to stop it is if u have air going into tent as well and not just extracting air. Thank you tho!!

You want a small amount of negative pressure to make sure all exhausted air is going through your carbon filter.

Thanks @diggs99. I'm excited to give this batch a taste... the bubble hash that I made from the trim knocked me on my ass. I've got a pack of gorilla zkittlez ready to go for the next grow. I'm going to hawaii for ten days at the end of September for my anniversary. I don't think I could leave them alone for that long so I'll just wait and start up again in October. Between my two grows I won't be hurting for weed for a couple years... Gonna have to start giving it away.

Plants are dry and in the jars now. I’m a little disappointed by the results and if I’m being honest with myself, the bag appeal isn’t that great. I think the main problem I had was my lights weren’t powerful enough to penetrate into six foot tall plants. It does taste good and gets you nice and high. It’s a little harsh on the throat, but I’m hopeful that will improve with curing.

That’s some frosty product, looks like dense nugs. If my next batch is as good as that I’ll press some dabs, I need to take the plastic off my dabs press. It’s good to hear you had help on the trim.

I think your hypothesis about not enough light penetration is probably spot on. When you lower your plant numbers next time I would consider not vegging longer. If you veg longer you might end up with huge plants again. If you veg the same or even less amount of time, the plants might grow smaller, but you will have better canopy penetration and a faster turn over. Scrogs are awesome, and you don't really have to veg drastically longer to run one, especially with as much growth as you are getting from this system.

Wow a gram a day between 2 people, I wish I could stretch weed that far .

I agree with thunder cat, scroging out 2 plants next time will give great results with lower veg time.

Thank you. I've only done DWC. I've managed to kill every house plant that I've had in soil, kinda surprised that I was able to keep them alive in water.

I have some tomatoes that I started from seed in a hydroton hempy bucket that are doing great. My friends keep asking me what my secret is and I keep telling them, "I don't know how to grow in dirt". :/
