Strange leaf discoloration

If you've grown it before and it didn't affect the plants, it's probably just a genetic quirk. If you think it could be a disease and you could get better yields without it I would try rinsing the seeds in 3% H2O2, if you're growing from seed that is. There are plenty of strains where the stems are purple without there being a deficiency, Blueberry comes to mind.

I have one girl that was put in flower and she’s been showing that symptom since seedling and it hasn’t affected anything so far.. I can show a pic when lights come on tomorrow

I always thought it was a genetic issue because I’ve been running this strain for a while and this only happens in veg. As soon as I flower it grows out of it. Looking deeper into it though I thought it could be tobacco mosiac virus or broad/russet mites. However it hasn’t spread to any other plants.

it's genetic related & I've had a pheno that also did the same thing until I upped the trace nutes, not sure what exactly caused it.

Was your base nutrients lacking trace nutes? I use a House and Garden and I believe they come up short on their micros. What do you use for trace nutes?

I myself just use azomite/rock dust ect, every 4 or 5 sessions I add them back and usually notice a kick in smell/flavor and sometimes even potency.

Don't add to much, read the instructions.

For what it's worth that's really pretty looking leaves... I've never seen that myself but agree if you don't see any other issues I wouldn't stress over it. Also regarding the purple stems, seems I almost always see a little bit of purple on my big stems every time and never even worry about it to be honest. I read somewhere purple stems are so common you should only worry about them if you see other issues... light purple is ok, but turning darker purple with other issues is bad... unless it's a purple strain that does that ha ha.. At least that's my understanding...

Do you grow in soil? I use a soilless medium and I’ve tried rock dusts before and I dont believe they broke down correctly

If you really want to try it out in true soiless I would probably use bottles instead, something like AN micro/Humboldt micro or anything similar.

Best to load them up in veg, a week or so before flowering.

Now it’s looking like a deficiency for sure. These leaves are in the middle of the plant. With the purple stems I’m leaning towards a mag deficiency or phosphorus. H&G lacks in both it looks like. Also she was root bound pretty badly. I just transplanted so hopefully that will help. I’m going to hit her with a foliar tomorrow with some micros.

AFAIK you use it once a week, but I've seen some posts from people who say it burned their plants. I've never used it myself. From my veggie growing I have insecticidal soap, and it's always worked. Though a heavy dose of that can also burn. Especially flowers, ie. pepper and tomato flowers.

Too bad you don’t have any frogs, praying mantis, or spiders around. These guys tend to help a lot of other fellow growers. I’m not sure how you’d be able to keep them around but a little research couldn’t hurt. Good luck to you brother.

I've never understood why people use expensive nutes that don't provide everything a plant needs.

If neem is burning peoples plants then they're mixing it too strong. I use it weekly in veg as a preventative measure. It helps prevent mites, powdery mildew, and other issues you don't want to have happen.

Iv been using 4mil per litre if that helps iv red 5 mil but thought I’d use a little less just in case I’ll have another wonder down there again this weekend an have a look at them
