Phosphorus or Potassium during flower???

19 years of practice. It's no 'theory'.
How does a plants growing medium change its nutritional needs ? I agree that uptake of different elements varies but if the correct amounts aren't being fed then they aren't there to be taken up whether you're in soil, Coco or anything else you're growing in.
By the way how does practicing something for 19 years prove anything ?

I'd stick with your 24-8-16 and keep doing what you're doing. Your plants look great.

That's operator error. If you're overfeeding plants with ANY formula that will definitely affect flower production.

In regards to plants in containers requiring potash, veg formulas supply plenty. You can add more if you'd like, say potassium sulfate for example, but it wont increase your yield, only add sturdiness to your branches.
I check my Ppms after and before every feeding/res top up. Nute strength was no different to any other feeding. Only the Ratio of NPK, ca, mag etc adding the veg nutes.
I had a passionfruit vine that would produce a lot of flowers, but the flowers would never fruit.
I went into the local garden shop and the lady told me they need more pk in flower/fruiting. And she gave me a bottle of liquid potash.
And all of a sudden the flowers stopped dropping off and the plant started producing big plump passionfruit!!
Pk boosters DO help.
And sorry homebrewer but the higher ratio of nitrogen does not help during flower.
Any experienced grower knows that the nitrogen ratio in flower should be backed off as opposed to veg.
Suggesting to a new grower to use veg nutes all the way from start to finish blows my mind tbh.

The nutritional needs are the same, the ability to uptake certain elements is what changes.

If you're implying that experience doesn't matter then you're an idiot.

That's because you don't understand plant nutrition.

He did all what you cant think off !!!

And now he no!

Test it all your self then let see how many years before you reach is level and then help other new grower that need help @! Coco is different than hydro and soil is different then peat ... try your self.
Have you? I Tried it, didn’t work! Been growing for years and years and years also. And grow some killer bud! I’ve heard sooo many different theories. But this one blows my mind haha.
With nothing to back up why only needing to use veg nutes all the way through with nothing else!!?
Just because you’ve been growing for 19 years, don’t mean you know how to grow.
I’ve seen a guys grows that’s been growing for just over 2 years. His grows were up there! I’ve also seen a guy in his late 60’s that’s been growing all his life. Still growing indoors in soil with poor air exchange and supermarket slow release fertiliser. and his grows were nowhere near the quality of the guy that had been growing for just over 2 years!
Just because someone’s been growing for 19 years (or more) doesn’t mean there any better than someone that hasn’t lol.
Be interesting to hear some more opinions from other experienced growers on “veg nutes from start to finish” lol.

You don't need bloom boosters if you feed properly. The problem today is the cannabis specific nutrient market and the manufacturers purposely leaving things out so they can sell you another bottle of something. CalMag, PK Boosters, etc... I run calcium nitrate and a micronutrient blend during veg. When I switch to flower I use the same and just add some MKP. It's basically the same thing as any three part system except there is never any need for any additional additives because everything is already present in adequate amounts. I'm not trying to grow crispy leaved plants that half the people out there think look good. I'm growing nice healthy plants start to finish without a dozen bottles of stuff and getting yields as good as those that do. Plant nutrition isn't hard. Farmers have been feeding the planet for centuries without the need for fancy nutes and cool named additives. Cannabis isn't special with regards to feeding it. But slick marketing has many people believing they need a bunch of stuff to grow weed. You don't.

Yea I agree with you xtsho. But do you use veg nutes from start to finish?
Do you feel the plants nutritional requirements change after the transition into flower??

Post a larger pic. That looks like a resinless leafy mess.
Stop tip toeing around my question. Explain to me why we should use veg nutes from start to finish. Stop trying to compare dicks and enlighten us all with your 19 years of experience!!?

I use the same nutes I use in veg. I just add MKP at flower. The plant can benefit from additional P/K at flower just like any other flowering plant. I use VitaGrow. Three parts. Calcium nitrate and micronutriens during veg. At flower add the MKP on top of what you were feeding in veg. The plants can benefit from more p/k at flower but there should be ample amounts in any decent base nutrient. When I say decent I don't mean fancy labels. I mean a product that delivers what a plant needs. What I feed does that. I'm basically using the same chemical salts in dry form that many nutrient manufacturers water down and put into multiple bottles. I will admit that I have added small amounts additional potassium sulfate and/or magnesium sulfate during flower but I didn't my last grow and didn't notice any difference. I just see too many people in the Marijuana Plan Problems section using ten or more bottles of stuff having nothing but problems. I never have any issues. My plants grow healthy from start to finish.

As for what @homebrewer is saying, I agree to a point. It depends on what's in the veg nutrients. Some do provide all the P/K a plant needs. The Vitagrow I use is three parts. Calcium Nitrate 13-0-0. The calcium nitrate is also 13% calcium so you'll never need any CalMag. The micronutrient is 3-10-20. It has all the magnesium, sulfur, iron, copper, etc... plus ample amounts of P/K. Those two parts are the veg nutes at 16-10-20. MKP is added at bloom which is 0-49-29. I could probably just use the two parts without the MKP and not notice any difference in yield or quality. Some veg nutes have everything in them. Some of these nutrient lines have everything split out into different parts and feed charts that have people feeding a dozen different things at different amounts every week. It's a joke. Break out the eyedroppers! I'm feeding my plants! :wall:

Yes I understand that, and agree with the dozen bottle feeding frenzie your talking about. But that’s the whole purpose of having a 3 part nutrient imo. Is to feed the plant at different ratios of the plants life/needs. The 3 part fertilisers are not a veg only nutrient as homebrewer is talking about. The plants nutritional requirements change during bloom and we have to cater for that whether it’s changing to a bloom fertiliser or changing the ratios around on a 3 part nutrient to become a bloom feed. IMO.
