Coming from a country where we have universal health care and the government controls everything from the cost of a prescription, an x-ray, how much a tooth filling costs and what procedures are covered (hint, just about everything except for the rarest of circumstances is covered) I can tell you it's awesome. If we ever stopped to think about it maybe we would say, "Wait a sec, this government is controlling us," but we don't. Mostly because we are much healthier than Americans and when we want to see a doctor we see one. No Appointment even needed, walk in and you see one usually within 30 minutes. And the care is as good as America, actually a lot better because you don't have to wait. So from my perspective all this talk from Americans about their freedoms when it comes to health care is just so trippy. They want to be sick and have their freedoms. Well not their freedom of the press, travel, or drinking a beer at the beach. But don't fuck with their choice of health care. Trippy.
