so I bought 2 260 watt led's from growers lights (hlg) and buds came out real fluffy when dried, yield was not so great either, plants stayed really healthy all the wat through, so I was wondering if cmh would increase yield and bud density, any suggestion on brands in the mid range? do I need 2 315's or one 615 de for a 4x4?
thanks for any input

2 of the 315s if you ask me. That would outproduce what you have by far.

the led's worked great for vegging, not so much for flower, real fluffy and light buds, will cmh correct some of this? any suggestions on lights? looking for something middle of the road, not cheapest but not most expensive on market

the price of CMH is really coming down 2-315 would be the way to go for under $400.a 600 watt HPS with a MH bulb for vegging would work well too

I run 16 cobs in a 4x4 at around 600 watts. Very dense buds. I used to run 8 Vero 29's in the same area with the same results. Usually airy buds are genetics, not enough light or heat. ymmv
I did actually read that also that genetics may play a role in bud density

I went with separate 315s for deployment flexibility and fault tolerance.
One can fail (bulb or ballast) and I still have one running while I get the other repaired. Thats when 3yr ballast warranty matters.

Hoods matter too. Do the best you can with the moola you have.
