With a waterfall system, the splash would keep the bottom of the netpot and exposed roots wet. This meant that the plants didn't care what the water level is as long as the netpot is above the water level.

What size pump would you recommend for water falls I’m gonna run 1/2 half inch lines for the water walls in each bucket and how many buckets do you run on one pump ?

I ran a 630gph pump for half a dozen tubsites. I could run twice as many.

I put a half inch elbow at the end to hook into a hole in the lid and to provide a bit of back pressure.

You may wanna run 3/4" or 1" and break off with 1/2" reducing tee's.

You may wanna run 3/4" or 1" and break off with 1/2" reducing tee's.

This is how I did it, 3/4" from pump, reduced to 1/2" right at the buckets with a 90 degree elbow cap and 3 small holes drilled into it for more even pressure throughout manifold and it drives the waterfall deeper.
