Doesn't look like you need much imo. The bigger fan leaves blocking light to lower buds should go (like was suggested some like to remove all the upper one). You have good light coverage but would still personally leave the smaller fans on the lower buds just to help them a bit and they aren't likely to block and bud sites. If they do you can always remove a couple here and there in the future.

I'm in the school of if you are going to strip, strip them fucking bare except the tops.
It is going to put you back a few days....
Do you see better yields with this method?
You certainly have more experience than I do, and you have my respect, but I don't subscribe to this technique. Aren't the leaves solar collectors? How do the flowers compare to the leaves when it comes to absorbing photons?

I don't think you need much defoliating. I like to be able to see the medium when looking down from above, but not gaping holes, sort of filtered. Look from the sides too. Able to see through to the back of the plants but again no big holes. They look nice!

I only like doing it in scrog, as it prevents soft unusable buds lower down the plant. I'd say yields are similar, but there is more sellable weed on the stripped side.

If it was up to me, I'd have side lighting right around my plants, and never strip anything

Just tuck them out of the way.
Removing leaves of any type? Your removing the food factories of the plant. The bigger they are - The more food they make..

#1: Lower buds do not need direct light to form or develop
#2: Direct lighting on buds - helps them ripen properly, near the end (last cpl weeks)
#3: Simply leave the leaves on, and harvest the ripe buds, leaving the lower unripe buds on the plant, under the light.. In about 1.5 -2 weeks and these buds are ripe. They will actually be more potent then your mains...

Lastly, I do remove some bud fans in the last 2 weeks on a cpl of strains I run that are very, very "leafy." This allows some light for ripening to the interior buds on the top branching. Stepped harvest is still done.

Yes I find it funny people take off the very things they need to make the things they want.

Just tuck them away as you said.

Stepped harvest is a great idea. I suspect the potency comes from the root/plant mass?

You have a huge root mass for 1/3 of a plant.

What are your temps like ?
Cuz there is a little Taco Tuesday action on some of the leaf.

And that baby fan clipped to pole looks hella small.
