Hi there! My name is Brooke I'm from Canada. I've been a medicinal cannabis user and this is my first grow ever and I just brought thesse babies in this temporary set up indoors! Looking into buying an LED for now, or possibly even keeping this until I could afford a proper high pressure sodium setup, looking for all the advice I can get and the best equipment you guys recommend for the best bang for my buck thanks so much everybody look forward to hearing from you all! You will definitely want better light for flowering. HPS could possibly be your best route if you don’t have much $$$. But you would have to deal with the heat.

High there Brookea and welcome to RIU.

Bit of a bad mix of lights there. Those spots need to be around 6" from the plants but the CFLs should be as close as 2" to get any decent light on the plants. Foil on the back of the CFLs will direct more light toward the plants too.

How is it for scrounging stuff where you live? Garage sales, thrift stores etc can often have useful things like light fixtures, think T-8 or T-5 fluoros or local online Buy & Sell sites.

LED is the big thing these days but there's lots of junk out there too. Amazon or Ebay for deals on HID or LED lights.

They're big enough to need more light ASAP or you're going to have tall, stretched out plants with not a lot of bud.

GreenLeaf gives away a 300g sample of their Mega Crop nutes. I'm using them now and really like them after almost 20 years of mainly using Advanced Nutrients. The link is at the top of this page.

I found a great spot to download FREE POT BOOKS . I downloaded a grow bible first and got lots more. Books look great and complete like the real ones I have here. No web site but just a page of links. Just right click on what you want and then "Save Link As" to download so they don't open first as many are 50+ megs. They got lots. Enjoy.

I’m in Canada also. The space you’re working with looks okay, but certainly time to get real lights. You truly can’t produce good cannabis without full and penetrating lighting.

I run 600 watt HPS lights. I recommend a cooltube light hood if you live in a hot part of the country, and run your lights at night when flowering.

Invest in good stuff as early as possible, and start making quality medicine earlier!

Those fans can be pretty intense at close range, do you find? I don’t use mine anymore because it’s like a jet engine.
