When you are going the diy route it doesn't tell you what driver to use... That is very strange... I got the 260w v2 rspec package... 2 lights and 1 heatsink... So what i did was match it up to the driver that was used in the full kit... Maybe I got the driver for just a v2 kit and not the RSPEC one??? When I turn it all the way up it doesn't seem to be as bright as it should... When i looked up the driver that i have it says it can run up to 4 boards... Since im only running 2 am i not getting all that i should be getting out of it???

How do you have it wired frank? In series or parallel?

They're 54v boards.

So that driver would power the boards at ~55w each wired in series. 4 boards would only be using ~90% of the driver.

You'd get a bit more power with a 240h-54a in parallel.
That's what i figured... But why don't they tell you that when you buy that package??? Lile i said before,the lights that i bought didn't have a driver match up... Any of the other ones tell you what driver matches up with the boards... Damn,and i bought 2 of them... But am i still alright with this driver or should i be thinking about getting the proper dropper???

To wire in parallel, yes those are the "wrong" drivers. That's a constant current model, if you have two boards in parelell on that unit, each board is only getting about 525ma.
Wired in series, you can get that up to 1050ma each. As stated above, 4 boards will fit on each, but will not be able to "use up" the entire driver.

4 boards is the best use of that driver. But still only uses 90% of its power.
Those drivers will always run the boards ~55w. No matter how many in series.

I'd return them and get the 240h-54b for 2 boards. I mean on the plus side you're running them more efficiently. But 4 boards for 220 watts is pretty overkill imo, especially since you already have heatsinks. heatsinks arent even necessary that low iirc.

get the 240h-54b and run 2 boards at 260watts!

So its no good as is??? I have 2,I'll send one back and use the other til the new one comes,then switch it and send the other one back...

So i sent an email to Mouser last night about exchanging drivers a nd they said to keep the old one and they would send me another!!!
