I'm growing some more widow and a Cali O. about to transplant into 6 litre bags of coco coir
I've read soooo many threads and everyone saying different throughout all of them
I know 97 cri is a better true light color spectrum for human eyes
but what's better for flower 3000k or 3500k
Veg 4000k / 5000k
Or the best for both it can be customized
The model has a switch for each.
585w full spectrum 9 cobs
Base model is citizen 048 cobs
3500k/3000k -4000/5000k
Meanwell drivers 1400ma or something else
Cri 97 or 80/90 options
There's more options and if you talk to different people they have different options but all push the citizen cobs and for $539usd including shipping to Canada
Cree 3590 cxb cobs 749-850usd with shipping depending on who you talk to
Lol
Forget this human eyes stuff bro.
Forget what your eyes see.
Were worried about a plants.
Sunlight is 100 cri (so anything close to that 80, 90, 93, 97 cri is what your plant wants. Your plants want the sun. So mimic it)
2700kelvin to 6500kelvin are your colors.
The age old myth that plants need a.metal halide with 4000k blue light in veg and 3000k in bloom will be beat into your head by everyone around you in the growing community.
However if you read the article below there is zero proof done in medical labs and colleges that thats even remotely true. Yet everyone preaches it
Apparently 4000k makes your plants grow short and squat.
And 3000k make them stretch
While i dont doubt the experience of alot of growers. I also dont trust everything I read.
https://www.marijuanaventure.com/metal-halide-vs-high-pressure-sodium-age-old-question-cannabis-growers/
Look at a CMH (ceramic metal halid) or a LEC (light emitting ceramic)same shit
Pretty sure the cri of these lights are 97 or 93.
They provide uv light.
And are 3500k colour. Not higher for lower for veging or higher bloom.
3500k right down the fucking middle from veg to flower.
And guys are growing a pound with one 315 watt sun system fixture without breaking a sweat of dense fat resinous buds. It's all over YouTube.
I purchased 3 of the luma b4
Citizen 12 12
4k3k4k3k layout. To give my plants full spectrum from Start to finish.
As for the optic 6 cost 2-3 times as much as any Chinese light. And the reviews are actually worse that the philizon 3000 (624 watts at wall) or any other Chinese knockoff
https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B07QYRB1K9/ref=emc_b_5_mob_i
If you go to Amazon.com and look at the 2000 watt (440 watt at wall) version (which has 22 reviews you will not find one bad review. And if there was a negative it was fixed immediately)
If you look at any optic light on Amazon you'll find at least one or two horror stories about their customer service.and their optic 6 or 8.
Sounds kinda fucked up for an American company who claims everything made in america charges 3 times more.than anyone else treats their customers like shit. And there seems to be alot of hardware failures.
That said theres videos on YouTube of the optic 6 pulling 2 lbs a plant and and the optic 8 pulling 2.4 lbs.
So who do you really believe i.guess use your best judgment..
I just bought that philizon 3000 watt light for 550 Canadian delivered to my door.
Identical to the optic as far as I can see
I asked them what chips they use, the online chat told me cba2540 but their sales manager told me cbx 3950. So their either lying or they use both one for 3k and one for 4k?
I opened it up to see if I could tell what chips they use but it was impossible to get at them..and i mean impossible. If u are going to try it. PM on first and I'll tell you why it wont work.
The light itself seems of good quality. And the light output and heat from cobs is unreal. U can tell they will penetrate. My grow tent stays alot cooler than the 600 watt open ended hps i had in there.
I'm doing an experiment right now
3x geyapex luma b4
1x 600 watt mh then hps
1x philizon 3000 watt cree cob
I asked philizon.com what cree chips they used and they told me
I'm going to replace hps next grow with a quantum board. And will start my grow journal soon.
3xluma b4 (12 cobs in total 740 watt power draw
720.00 cad delivered to my door
1x philizon 630 watt cree cob (6 cree plus rest epistar 640 wart power draw)
540.00 cad delivered to my door
1xoptic 6 ( 6 cree 630 watt power draw plus bridgelux maybe?)
1100.00 cad plus shipping.
