I am in the middle of week 6 of flowering, Trichs are about 30% clear and 70% cloudy,no amber ones yet. I know I have some time left but when would you start flushing? I am looking for a total wheelchair buzz, as in smoke it and you better have a wheelchair or your ass aint goin NOWHERE!! SHould I wait till 50/50 on the trichs then start my 10 day flush?

Also how long do the trichs typically stay cloudy before turning amber?

Check out some pics 40 days of flowering.

flush shouldn't matter about that. I flush between 2-3 weeks, most people flush for 2.
supposedly for a couchlock high you want to see lots of amber trichs, but I dont know if I really buy the whole clear, vs amber = different highs.
but people say clear is a lighter high, active high, while amber is more of a couchlock dont do shit high.
I guess no harm in trying eh?

i find it hard to get help on this site too. i think its cuz theres so many ppl that a new thread makes it to the second page in like an hour or two giving very few ppl the chance to look at it. but i may have an answer for you.
i have read that if you want a more heady high then your going to want to harvest just before half amber/half clowdy. if you want the couch locking high as you said it you will want to wait a little longer to let the trichs turn almost if not completely amber. this is what ive read and im kinda a newbie so a second opinion would help but this sounds about right from the stuff i have smoked. red hairs = stoned, less red hairs is usually less stoney.

I want clean smoking buds thats why Im wondering about when to start its so hard to judge as I only water every 4 days so to flush for 2 weeks would mean to flush with straight ph'd water 3 times

I would stay with the two weeks flushing to be safe.

Doesn't couch-lock vs. active have to do with indica vs sativa? Indica being the couch and sativa the active. Thats what ive learned

then it's a mixed high.

the indica will always over power the sativa.

the big difference between indica and sativa is the THC levels.

indica = high THC
sativa = lower THC

Wouldn't it depend on its hybrid ratio? A better example would be when you go to buy seeds its 25% indica / 75% sativa

Wouldn't the sativa be dominant?

it is technicly sativa dom.

but the indica will still shine through.

only less so.

i am a sativa man.
so i am biased.

sativa and indica are two separate species of marijuana, (some people aregue their not, but they are accepted as being two species all on their own) the main reason they are clasified seperatly is their growth patterns and also the regions in which they originated.
Sativa meaning culivated, is a tall lanky species that can grow to be 14+ feet with long flowering times (10-16 weeks for some strains), long thin leaves, and smaller buds in comparison to indica
indica meaning from India or asia, is the shorter of the two, ranging between 4-9 feet usualy, with heavier denser buds, and fatter leaves, indicas flowering time can be as short as 6 weeks, though 8-10 is more common.

it is true that sativas and indicas have different highs, but this is due to the THC to CBN and CBD ratios. Some inidca strains have thc% just as high as sativas.
sativas are more of an energetic high, while indica is more of a stoned, sleepy high.
but a nice hybrid is always nice :)

Exactly, well put. But letting your trichs get more amber will be more of a couchlock stone.

Any update on what you decided? Start flushing now i would think you have not already.

indica = couch lock.
sativa = head high.
Noooooope.......its all couch lock if you let it go long enough. Your pistil are still lilly white. You want those to be almost all brown before you harvest. takes awhile for the trichs to go 75% amber which is what you want for couchlock. let her go my friend. If you want the couch lock you have several weeks to go.

What if its indica/sativa?
careful who you listen to my friend......Indica will be short and stout, sativa tall and spindly. BOTH will have the desired effect if grown correctly. Some love the sativa buzz,some the indica. But saying one has more thc is bs. Not true. Strain is the most important.

It's really hard to wait too long (all but impossible) for couchlock effect. As long as it's flowers are mature and fully ripe, and it's alive, every minute it's getting sleepier . . . s-leepier . . . s-l-e-e-p-i-e
