It would be much easier than you think to ban many firearms. The few people with the balls to defy it would become criminals, lose their jobs and property and possibly be killed resisting law enforcement.

The ATF has been training for it for decades. It wouldn't even slow down business replacing people who lose their jobs. In fact it would stimulate business in many public spaces if the threat of mass shootings were to be decreased. Even if they only get half of the automatic rifles and submachines, it would be a huge success in very short order. Conversely, if nothing changes, it would be the worst case scenario.

White males under the age of 30 should not have access to any firearms based on the history of those people using them to conduct terrorism

After that they should be made to have character witnesses attest to their gunworthiness if they are to acquire these killing tools

Raising the age to buy/own semi-automatic guns to minimum 32 years old. Under 32 can only buy/own muzzleloader rifles

A person should have to provide consecutive 3-5 years worth of W2 , to prove they can demonstrate some form of responsible behavior if they want to own a gun

No one that has any kind of violent record at all can own a gun ever, even from being a minor in grade school. Background checks should now include juvenile records.

An 18 month waiting period to own a semi-automic gun with mandatory random drug test and mental health evaluations every other month

Random drug testing and mental health evaluations for as long as you own a gun, at least once every 6 months

Outlaw gun shows/expos and private sales

Dude, every pot grower or pot smoker is in violation of federal law regarding gun ownership. They all lied if they bought new or from an FFL holder. Every one of us. Inclusive. That’s why a bunch of the idiots squawking about expanded background checks have cause to be concerned. Of course legalization at the federal level would eliminate that. So of course you won’t see it.

Anybody can be pushed to kill. If somebody shoots your kid, you'd probably want to kill him.

Is that mental illness? Yes and no.

A lot of those people are driven by hate.

So like the chicken and the egg, what comes first? Hate or mental illness?

When you take an AR-15 into a crowd and shoot people, is that just mental illness?

What about the guy in Squirrel Hill just targeting Jews or the guy in El Paso with an anti immigrant manifesto using words like 'invaders' that Trump uses?

There's mental illness and a whole lot more there.

And about mental illness, would you set up a gun shop right beside a mental hospital? Because all these 'mentally ill' people got them somewhere.

If you wouldn't set up a gun shop by a mental facility, what about gun shows where anybody can buy anything?

And why do the shootings keep increasing each year? Anything to do with hate speech at Trump rallies?

I know Mexicans, you know Mexicans. Are all Mexicans rapists, criminals and thieves? Trump implies that and those 'mentally ill' guys jump on that as an excuse to validate their insane hate filled beliefs. Some of them snap.

Some of these shooters think they're soldiers fighting a holy war against modern day America. Where'd we hear that before?

Mentally ill? The EP shooter? Wrong. It took logical thought and good organizational skills and both were on display. His gun choice and why. A trip literally across Texas to a designated target. His quick surrender to cops. He’s mental but not mentally ill. Court ordered evaluation pre-trial will confirm what I say. Even his choice of target shows research.

My brother in law is a shrink.

Most shrinks will tell you 80% of people have some form of mental illness. Shrinks themselves are in mandatory therapy.

Anybody who shoots a bunch of people has some form of mental illness, guaranteed. Doesn't matter what the court says, courts say all kinds of stupid shit. Look at the Supreme Court. Lol.

He’ll hang. If he’s mentally ill it will become known quickly once assessment begins. That’s the point. He’s not and it will show. In fact I’ll predict he’s assessed as very intelligent and organized.
