Just wanted to show off my new indoor growing space. It will perfectly fit a 5x5 tent. What do you guys think. And I added a couple of photos of what will be my last outdoor grow ever...... At least for a very long time. She's about 4 weeks in.

If you haven’t closed in the other side add another support above the center of door. It’s gonna sag over time if not because it wasn’t framed correctly.

Thanks for the advice, I will add more support and it is not closed in yet. I am by no means a carpenter.

Normally you double up 2x4s at a door frame, that way your header sits on top of the 2x4 instead of nailed into the sides. Also helps with your door way wanting to budge wide over time.

Makes sense. I have left over 2x4's, I will double up on the door frame.

You bring up a valid point and I thought of that myself. In fact I was thinking about buying some rolls of mylar and lining the walls and calling it good. I could still very well go that route.

The strain is actually just bag seed from some killer bud I had some time ago and happened to find a single seed in it. And yes I will be adding ventilation. I have on order an AC/heater and a digital humidifier and dehumidifier on the way.

header also known as a lintel is only required for exterior openings, if you put enough brad nails and shim the door correctly the door will never budge over time.

i header is for exterior walls so as to transfer the load. roof load/snow load -> exterior wall -> lintel/header -> jackstuds -> floor joists -> foundation wall -> footings.

if your talking about the lumber to screw drywall to above the door that is not a header/lintel.

Great room you got in the works there man. The sky is the limit for you. I'd consider maybe cutting off a small veg/clone area in there just in case you ever wanna go that route.
