Just saying.. I bought the hlg 100w v2 which has been delivered and I just ordered the hydro 1000 ts I figure if they're compararable (not sure which versions are comparable, Mars says it's equal to a 250w hps) then running them side by side should be a win-win but I noticed they're advertising a quantum board so I thought I'd bring attention to that..

Its China and now you know one of the reasons for a trade war. It is estimated that last year 200-600 billion worth of American Ip was stolen by china. Bloomberg had an interesting article. They are basically without scruples, they give two fucks about feelsy's....unfortunately

Trade dress and trademarks are radically different, legally.

Fuck that shit. My HLG boards are assembled in country by a seriously cool group of people that build quality lights and have outstanding customer service. I'm not buying some cheap knockoff junk just to save a few bucks. My wallet has a conscience.

Yeah it is. But there are several people up to this at the moment. Recently an American company doing it too though they seem to have removed the term quantum board from their description and gone with grow light instead.
But they are now using the term Rspec too.
Heres the thing. There must be more to it similar to how Alibaba called everything Penetrator or Dominator or several other names that the actual fixtures originated there before being trademarked or owned specifically.
Amare is made in Hong Kong but you wont see anything called an Amare Bar-8 or Pro-4 , ect... unless that's exactly what it is. Because Amare owned their fixtures exclusively from day one. Only will you see poor knock-offs, not even one of equal quality.
Thats how i see it cuz thats what Ive seen. Not claiming to know the details.
Hlg started off there right? Then left? Well, the china thieves did their thing. Exactly what they do. Now HLG has happening to them what so many others, starting off with HydroGrow have had happen to them.
Sad buts thats how it is. No one is immune.
