Calcium deficiency? Or is the plant just hungry?

Hello to everyone.

I go with the data first:
Setup: indoor
Light: HPS 400W
Strain: RQS Northern Lights, clone
Medium and pot: Soil and 25L/6 gallons pot
Humidity and temp: sometimes a little dry but always at good parameters besides that
Plant stage: Bloom, week 3 day 6
Medical (lol) history: plant always had good health, except for a little yellowing of the tips on early veg, and been dealing with some gnats the last weeks.

Actual problem:

During week 3 of flowering i started to find brown spots on some leaves. First day where a few leaves, and by now are a little more than a few. I would say that at least in every cola i found a leaf with those spots.
Besides that, almost every other day i remove yellow/dead leaves from the bottom of the plant, but one day i removed like 20 leaves that where yellow: i just touched them and they would just fall.

I read a few guides and for my understanding it looks like calcium deficiency.
But doing some further reading and believing that those spots can be just a "detail" in the whole problem, i started to think that the plant just needs a little more food, specially N. This idea is based on how the rhytm of yellowing lower leaves scaled up quickly during flowering third week, and by seeing that newer leaves look a little bit more pale (although under the HPS is tricky to see).

Feeding schedule has been light since a little nutrient burn appeared on early veg.
I am using Hesi nutrients, never went higher than 3ml/L, maximum dose is 5ml/L.

Attached pintures are from the roots before transplanting from 10L/2gal pot to 25L/6gal, and the rest were took yesterday, day 6 of week 3 of flowering.

So, what would you say? Thanks in advance for the replys, and sorry if something is not so good written, been a long time not writing in english.

Have you given supplemental cal mag yet? You are in the window for calcium deficiency showing as the plant needs both in higher amounts. I can’t find an analysis of the nutrients but even if they have calcium and magnesium I would suggest a teaspoon of cal mag in your next feeding.

A tsp per gallon along with some bloom nutes/booster.

Low N too with the yellow/dropping leaves.

During the stretch the plants eat like crazy and it sounds like they used up their reserves so a good feed with some CalMag is in order to get them perked up.

I never added calmag. The label on the nutrients say that both veg and bloom nutes have calcium and magnesium.
Ppm on my tap water is about 180.
Low K causes spotting and burnt tips/edges too so that could be the cause of the spotting but the yellow/dropping leaves are most likely low N. A good dose of everything should get it thru. Some Epsom salts sure won't hurt as low Mg also causes spotting tho you don't seem to have the interveinal chlorosis that goes along with that.

Good luck and a good harvest!

Thanks for the info, both hotrodharley and OldMedUser.
Next watering is with nutrients, so i will try to add a little calmag on it. I'll keep this updated.
I use tap water and nutes with calcium and magnesium. I still find it necessary in early to mid flower to give supplemental. Don’t add much nitrogen because the cal mag will have it. Good luck. They look really good so far.

Ok cool, its the only one doing it, calmag for the fix?
I’d recommend Epsom salts. 1-2tsp per gal. Make sure they are pure and not got oils n shit in them.

Magnesium and nitrogen stimulate each other. Meaning adding more of one increases the availability of the other.

How long should i feed it for? Until they show improvement? And do i feed straight ph water with no nutes?

Yeah 1 dose see how it goes. Then perhaps every other watering use them at a lower dose. Or higher doses less often,

Would help to see the rest of the plant but Epsom salts have only worked wonders for me.
