What about you. Half full or half empty, and how are you going to make the best of an Obama Presidency?
I'm retired...I play farmer and if things get bad no matter what happens I will be ok...cash money has very little meaning to me I can survive without it...

all the way full....I know I will be fine.....:blsmoke:
Eh, I'm just starting out on life's grand adventure. I'm sure I can land on my feet, but I really don't want to have to start from scratch again, because it's taken a lot of effort to get to where I am.

Though, I think the largest misperception that I've probably created about myself is that I think money is the ends. For me, money is just the means to the ends, and the ends... well, those are trade secrets, and wise people keep their own counsel.

I am still waiting for the truth on Barack Obama and he has been running for the past two years.

I know more about Joe the fucking plumber than I do about Barack Obama

I think nobody knows anything about Obama because he's kept clean. He already admitted to trying drugs, so no story there. If he's ripped anyone off, it must have been little bullshit. I just think there is nothing to say. I know what you mean though, always waiting for that other shoe to drop.

you can't tell me the repukes have not investigated every facet of Obamas life...if there was anything to find, they would have found it by now...they have had 2 years...

I'm sure they have, it's just so hard to believe that there is such a thing as an honest politician. It's like saying there is a lawyer that doesn't lie, or a cop not on the take. It just is something that doesn't happen too often.

then you ought to know that joe isnt even a plumber then or at least isnt licensed lolol

Thank you for that quick update Mr. Olbermann

You do realise that everything you just said has absolutely no relevance on the simple question he asked right? The guy asked a question...and the media went to work on him....fucking pitiful.

That's right. With one question, Joe the Plumber exposed Barak Hussein Obama for the socialist he is. That's why the Democrat MSM attacked the guy. Joe the Plumber said that at one point, he had around 100 TV crews parked on his street. I wonder how many media trucks Bill Ayers has on HIS street?

And by the way, for you naysayers, Joe IS a plumber working under another plumber's Master's licence.

I'm still waiting for that video featuring Michelle Obama ranting about "whitey".

Thank goodness this is all going to be over soon.

Getting back on topic, selecting Sarah Palin was a huge mistake. She has become a net liability for McCain and a national and international embarrassment and laughing stock.

Into the Bog

By Sheldon Richman:

It's still hard to tell if Joe the Plumber would pay more taxes under Obama or McCain. I've heard both sides argued. Whatever. It's a phony argument because McCain would just borrow whatever money he needs that can't be raised in taxes. Someone who frets about $18 billion a year in earmarks but relishes spending $11 billion a month in Iraq isn't going to be watching the taxpayers' interests very closely.

To me the real story about Joe the Plumber was Obama's reply to him that "spread[ing] the wealth around" would be good for the country. We haven't heard that phrase in a long time, and there's something refreshingly honest about it. If we look close, we'll see that McCain isn't against spreading the wealth. Look at his mortgage plan -- his proposal to keep home values artificially high by buying at face value all mortgages in which the amount owed exceeds the appraised value of the home. Nice deal for the banks. He would then reduce the amount of the loans and the interest rate. The taxpayers would pay the bills. Sounds like spreading the wealth to me.

To hell with all "legal" plunderers.

Sarah Palin's credentials as a "reformer" are nothing but spin. She has sided with Big Oil, lobbied to increase pork spending and abused her public power to carry out personal vendettas. Here's a guide to separating myth from fact.

THE MYTH: "She took the luxury jet that was acquired by her predecessor and sold it on eBay. And made a profit!" — John McCain, at a campaign stop in Wisconsin
THE FACTS: No one bought the jet online. It was eventually sold through an aircraft broker — at a loss to taxpayers of nearly $600,000.

THE MYTH: "I told the Congress 'Thanks, but no thanks' on that Bridge to Nowhere." — Sarah Palin, convention speech
THE FACTS: Supported the infamous pork project in her 2006 run for governor, even after Congress had killed the bridge; derided its opponents as "spinmeisters." Reversed her stance a year later — but kept the money, doling out the $223 million in federal funds to other pork projects throughout the state.

THE MYTH: "We ... championed reform to end the abuses of earmark spending by Congress." — Sarah Palin, convention speech
THE FACTS: As mayor, employed a lobbyist who also worked for Jack Abramoff to secure $27 million in pork spending for Wasilla — more than $4,000 per resident. In her two years as governor, requested $453 million in earmarks. Alaska ranks first in the nation for pork, raking in seven times the national average.

THE MYTH: "I found ... someone who stopped government from wasting taxpayers' money." — John McCain, introducing Palin
THE FACTS: Signature accomplishment as mayor: building a $15 million hockey arena that plunged the city into debt. Broke ground on the project without finalizing the city's purchase of the land; the resulting fiasco cost Wasilla $1.3 million — roughly $200 per resident.

THE MYTH: "Our opponents say, again and again, that drilling will not solve all of America's energy problems — as if we didn't know that already." — Sarah Palin, convention speech
THE FACTS: "I beg to disagree with any candidate who would say we can't drill our way out of our problem." — Sarah Palin, July 2008

THE MYTH: "We began a nearly $40 billion natural-gas pipeline to help lead America to energy independence." — Sarah Palin, convention speech
THE FACTS: With federal approval years away, not a single section of the pipeline has been laid. State could end up paying the pipeline's contractor $500 million — even if it never breaks ground on the project.

THE MYTH: "She's from a small town with small-town values." — Fred Thompson, convention speech
THE FACTS: Wasilla and the surrounding valley recently named the meth capital of Alaska, with 42 meth labs busted in a single year.

THE MYTH: Palin has "taken on the political establishment in the largest state of the union." — Fred Thompson, convention speech
THE FACTS: Served until 2005 as director of fundraising group associated with indicted senator Ted Stevens.

THE MYTH: "She's fought oil companies." — John McCain, introducing Palin
THE FACTS: Collected $13,000 in campaign contributions from oil and gas lobbyists, including Exxon, BP, Shell and Chevron. BP was a sponsor of her inaugural ball.

THE MYTH: "She's been to Kuwait. She's been over there. She has been with her troops. The National Guard that she commands, who have been over there and had the experience." — John McCain, highlighting Palin's national-security credentials
THE FACTS: Never had a passport before 2007, when she made a brief photo-op trip to visit troops in Germany and Kuwait. Has never been to Iraq, and has not met a single foreign head of state.

THE MYTH: "I have protected the taxpayers by vetoing wasteful spending." — Sarah Palin, convention speech
THE FACTS: As governor, sought travel reimbursement for 312 nights she spent in her own home.

If you think Dubya is bad, wait till this ball buster ascends, what a f**king nightmare, just when you think it cant get any worse :fire:
At least she is not a communist unlike her opponents that want to tax the hell out of us in a already screwed economy and " redistribute the wealth" .
