first outdoor grow, I’ve seen and heard how bad boytritis can be with our fucked up weather. Any tips/experience on preventing it?
Oh man, oh man, oh man... Great question... Sucks so much ass, my own crop was decimated by it last year, and to this day I am still plagued by the worm-poop that often leads to Botrytis.
For now, neighbor, I tell you this: Prevent caterpillar worms, with every fiber of your being. Get predator bugs, befriend your neighborhood Chicadees (the MA state-bird, who dines upon the worms that poop on & burrow inside our plants), get insect netting, neem-oil, IDK... But Botrytis starts with the green wormy beasts. Prevent them NOW from getting into your garden, or get rid of them NOW before the flowers really bloom.
And I fully agree with what Nizza recommends, 100%...
try a fan outside, shaking the plants off every morning and after rain, and making sure you plant somewhere where they get good morning sunlight... also greencure is a great preventative, but i've found its usually caterpillars/worms shitting in the buds that ends up causing the mold
