No, i dont need to know the whole story at all. Anyone coming into this thread, it would be with the intentions of learning of BCBs new light. Instead they get 2 other posters dropping pics of competitors gear within the first 15 posts.

He repeatedly trolled my Bar-8 thread trying to sell Blonde Boards so i dropped some facts on his once if you must know. Let it go bud.
Was even nice about it paying compliments on design & asking product questions that potential buyers may want to know, which is more then i can say for their tactics.

The 680 is composed of 2 340 watt panels. They are attached together with connecting bars that have multiple holes to slide the panels in and out so you can have more adjustability for coverage, they also can tilt so the panel that is at the end of your row can be tilted slightly to the center of the table to help keep more light on your canopy.

Adding reds adds alot of cost to the light they are not cheap and I'm always trying to keep costs down as i'm all for bang for your buck. It wasn't until I could get a good price on them and they jumped above 2.5+ was I interested.

Im not trying to have the most efficient most expensive light, most of my customers are ex hps guys and they are a different market, they aren't into spending 2 grand on a light because they are usually buying lots for a commercial setup, and want bang for your buck.


Just sent a panel off to The Light Lab, soon as I get the sphere results ill post them for you guys, im usually pretty close with my estimates, expecting 2.6/1750ish.

2020 is bringing more enhanced spectrum, a lot more ppf and efficiency, hopefully early 2020, health permitting.

I have had a a51 SGS 160 And an a51 XSG 190 for 6 years. The SGS is 24/72 630nmCree diodes and 48 4500k white draws 153 watts. The XGS 190 is all 3750k white and slightly more efficient diodes. Draws 190 watts.
It always seemed like the SGS did about the same as the XGS with less power use. Still use both when needed, rest are COBs.

Here are some unboxing photos and a couple shots of the rig in action.

I have multiple levels(tiers/bleachers/stadium) on my tables so I positioned the panels as close as they can go. If you have a flat canopy it would be best to mount the panels a little further apart, easily done with the connecting bars.

Flower:
defoliate when I kick into flower (first day of flower)(I defoliate 3 times, once at kick, once at 3 weeks once at 5-6 weeks, sooner if they are crowding each other)
week 1: 1100 ppm fert
1500ppm co2
Temp: 30C 65 RH


The 4x4 on the right is already defoliated.

its only been about 1 week since I pruned these plants, they are already filling back in. Probably prune them again in about a week.

week 2 of flower brings 1150 ppm feed, everything else stays the same. The plants are slowly receiving more ppf as they grow taller.

At around 21 days will turn all panels to 75% and at 4-5 weeks will turn it up to 100%. At about 3 weeks the tallest plants will be within about 12-18 inches of the light.

nice big fat leaves and seeing growth every day. although Seeing a bit of droop as this was taken right before lights off.

Growing in nicely, starting to crowd a bit, second prune will be sooner than later.
Nice big fat leaves, almost completely green with no discoloring
Leds and coco create deficiencys? Not if you use a proper feeding program.

Pruned these plants 7 and 9 days ago (7 days on the left 4x4, 9 days on the right 4x4), they have grown in awesome. This is why you prune, not only do you remove weak branches and leaves so you don't get bugs and mold, but it stimulates the plant to grow.

I will be pruning these plants again very soon, in the next few days as they are starting to crowd each other.

also notice the bowl shape of the canopy, this is achieved by having multiple tiers/levels on the table, why? increases canopy size with out increasing square feet. IE: you can fit more plants on the table and they get more light.
