1000 watt hps thru seedling, veg and flowering

Has ne one done there whole grow with just a 1000 watt hps and BMO????
i was wondering if it would fry seedlings like in inch tall or if i should get a CFL on them fer a couple weeks?

id really like some feedback cuzz thats all i got is that one lamp.

I would just go on the safe side and use a few cfl for the seedling for a little while but other then that you can use the 1000 watt

cfl's would conserve a good bit of power during the beginning stages of life.

dont use that thing on seedlings..... youll cook em..... wait atlest 2 weeks....unlesss you have alot...then you could start earlier.....

i swiched to a hortilux super blue ta stop my leggin, the plant inmy avatar is at 23 days!

Looks good at a little over 3 weeks, I personally would switch to flowering at this time, only because im a little impatient and, when done right, during the flowering period the plant could grow up to twice as much... obviously this is all dependent on space constraints... wow im high.....

unless i'm missing something. your plant has many leaves. ur veggin.

about those nutes though. you got the right idea of starting a low feed schedule. i start feeding nutes at 4 weeks from seed leaves..

heck yah bro its a waste of light and elec right now i know, but i figure 30 plats under a 1000 watt is its max, so ill be make use soon enough!, i was thinkin about doin a Paraplegic's grow log?

if they are doing gr8 then use them the whole way through

My current grow has been nothing but a 1000 watt switchable and they are just fine. You just have to control the heat and keep the light a good distance away from the seedlings.

what if you put it on a dimmer, and still keep it real close?
