Hey guys,
So im growing a auto northern lights and it is 11 days old. Yesterday i took a picture of the plant and It seems that the upper New leaves are a bit light green than a few days ago.
I have 2 LED lights, each one 300W, im using a organic soil and i havent used any nutes yet.
I was wondering If using a calmag could help her. What do u guys think?

Hey
Im using a orgânic soil that i bought from the internet. I have used It before and i really liked It. 2 months without any ferts, Just water. Im watering this girl with well water, because my house has access to It. The water ph is around 7.0 and ppm 80

Damn I wish I had a well to pull from.. gonna have to just fuck off to the Forest here eventually..
I’m still a newbie but from what I’ve seen seedlings don’t need to much in the way of nutes, not until they have like 3-4 nodes at least. The soil should have enough in it.

HOWEVER in my experience (this is my first grow) I did just water my 13 day old plant with a small amount of calmag, about a half dose. Seems to have liked it.! It had some brown spotting. I don’t know why it would hurt!! Just take it easy
I’m using ffof by the way

I agree with you, they Def don't need nute at this time. Im gonna buy calmag tomorrow and spray some on them to see If they like It.
Im Sorry but what is ffof?

So you’ve used this soil before and it fed your plants for months without needing to feed them? If that’s the case I’d say there’s more than enough food in the soil and this isn’t a magnesium issue. Definitely isn’t a calcium issue. That little thing shouldn’t see any deficiencies yet even if in Promix which has zero nutrients in it.

Fox farms Ocean Forest, pretty good soil
Yes. I’ve used it plenty and know I can cut the ocean forest 50/50 with Promix which has no nutrients and it’ll feed the plant for a month. Maybe the light. If you’re in ocean forest than you have plenty of food to go for maybe a month and half or more. Don’t add cal mag. That soil has more than enough of everything you need.

Yeah probably not a Mag Def. Maybe the leds lights were too strong for her, so i turned one off and pulled away a few inches the other one. No results yet, and It looks like she is slowing the growth.... I don't know what to do. Maybe its the ph? In the soil information It says that the ph is 6.6, but my water is a bit more Basic that that, 7.0 to 7.2. maybe a iron deficiency?here's a picture of her right now

How are you watering it and how often? Looks like you're over watering it to me. I use the leaves to tell me when to water, they act like a gas gauge, lol, if the bottoms and the middle are drooping, it's almost on "E", time to water. I also use the lift method to feel if the pot is empty.
Your roots need to dry out a little, this is what makes them grow in search of more water. If not you risk root damage and or root rot. Good luck :peace:

I've watered the entirely container 1 day before i plant her in with about 800ml water and haven't watered anymore until day 7 +/-(10lt fabric por). Only a few sprays of water at the leaves and top soil to moist
When i got home today i saw some tiny yellow dots on the affected leaves, and the growth is even slower, 3 days with no visible changes to the plant.

Overwater will make the leaves droop. ALso with seedlings that size, overwater causes yellow leaf die off at bottom. His moisture seems good. Tap water?

Idk..bro it just might be a little retarded. I have seedlings all the time that have discoloring and deformed leaves and they snap out of it by the time they are 3-4 weeks old. You’re using good soil. Some say it’s too hot for seedlings. Maybe just needing to work themselves through some issues with being in a rich soil so young. The food is there. The worst thing you can do is feed. You’ll onky make it worse. You definite don’t need to add food. I do always add dolomite lime to soil for ph buffer

I haven't feed her, only water and a bit of homemade root stimulator. Thats all i've used. I know i have to be patient, im Just concerned because she is a auto flower and i don't want to mess up with her. Maybe a flush could help?

I took a picture with the leds on because It shows better the spots on the leaves. She is growing faster and looks healthier today, but now the leaves has more spots than before. I don't know what happened to her but she definitely looks better. The only thing i've done is adjust the water PH to 6.6( It was at 7.1)

It looks like the spots are only on the older leaves, not the new growth. That’s exactly my case. I don’t know if it was the addition of a small amount of calmag or if it’s just blemishes from growing, but it’s doing great now with now more issues
