Starting to worry

Hey guys I haven't posted an update on my plants in a while. They had a rough start but things turned around, now I'm starting to worry they might not make it. The temperature is apparently dropping to 3 C tonight, me being in the lower marshy area might actually get frost.
As for my plants, they are definitely not even close to done. They are behind on bud growth it seems and going slower then any others I've seen. I use MG bloom which is 15% Nitrogen, 30% available Phosphate, 15% Soluble Potash. I've used HP Pro potting mix, EWC, Sheep Manure and Fish Bone Meal in early veg. I have 2 in 23 Gallon buckets, the rest in the ground. I'm thinking I did not make the holes wide/deep enough when transplanting into the ground making them only roughly a foot deep/wide. The ground in basically all sand around here aswell.
Just looking for some advice. This is my first real outdoor grow, I just want to try and do whatever possible to keep them going.

For those in ground......you'll just have to ride it out and hope. Frost won't take them out......but a hard freeze might. What is your 10-14 day forecast? A lot will happen in the next 2 weeks bud wise.

The 2 in pots can be brought in if possible.... dunno if that's the case for you or not.

Either way....all you can do is let em cruise and do what they do and hope for the best. Good luck

Its looking good for the next 14 days, it didn't get as cold as they said. It's staying above 5C i'm just worried because they seem so behind on growth. Thanks for your input!

I do have a male out back, its in a separate area. If they were to get hit with pollen would it totally stop bud production and trichome growth?

Wind will pollinate are a great distance.
Not much wind here, i live in the bush. Still though, bugs and what not can transfer it. I thought they would stop growing flower though and focus on producing seeds instead. Ill post a pic of the buds today, they are getting frosty but just very small still. Just did another feeding of MG Sunday. I really wish i could afford some better product like General Organics...always next year.. also going to set up an indoor gig once these are done.

You should check out the frost thread in the outdoor growing section, it should put your mind at ease about light frosts.
They definitely don't stop flower production when pollinated. My neighbour had a male sativa flowering 3 meters from my Bakerstreet. It was in full pollen production before she even started to flower, so I had seeds since day one. She's still putting out new pistils, buds are stacking, but judging by the Cherry Bomb I had, and my indoor grows, she's definitely slower than she should be. I'll go take a pic, put it up in a minute or two.
I'm in Southern Ontario, btw.
